    Indeed.

If the internet had been around in the 30's, we would probably be arguing against German National Socialism, and their treatment of given groups.

We would have supporters of German NS, on here, attacking us, defending that which cannot be defended, and wishing harm upon us.

In 2012 - we do have the internet, but rather than German National Socialists attacking us, and wishing us harm, we have their off shoot, Zion Nazi's, doing it.

    The NA and Zionists.

    NAZI.

Albeit it pains me to say it, in the interests of fairness, he does have a point with his Libya cite, and that of the Falklands.

    Falklands first.

The reality there, is that Thatcher was losing popularity among her core voters.

    She was becoming...isolated.

Thatcher needed that conflict. I don't think for one moment that either her, or the Tories, gave a hoot about a relative handful of people, on islands, miles away from this country.

I considered that conflict, such as it was, to be as cynical an example as there is of how conflicts are used.

It may be in the past, but let's not forget that very real people died in it, and let's not forget the Belgrano either, which I always thought was a disgrace.

I suppose that is where I differ from an 'Israeli'.

I am happy to concede such things, and I despise our political elites, for doing them.

    They won't.

    Libya.

Come on, SS, those elections are meaningless.

I was brought up watching crap news(like most) for years, that always seemed to portray Gadaffi as some 'mad dog'.

Then I began reading about Libya, for myself, and what a very different picture, emerges.

The image that was fed of some crazed dictator, who is evil to his own people - is a lie.

He paid for what Libyans called the 'Eight Wonder of the World', a man made reservoir, to provide Libyans, with fresh water.

That was one of the first things NATO planes bombed.

He was a very moderate Muslim, as was Libya itself, he despised radical Islam, as it may be called, by some.

He swore to Libyans, that he would ensure every one of them had a home, even before he would home his own father.

And he kept to that promise.

The Libyan central bank would give interest free loans, to any Libyan that wanted to buy their first maritial home, or start a business.

Libyans were around 10% literate, when Gadaffi first came to prominence.

By the end, they were 90%.

If a Libyan was ill, they would get all health care - free.

If it was a v complex op, they were paid to be flown to another country, maybe the US, who could do it.

Thanks to Cameron, and NATO, all of that is now going to be over.

Btw - wonder who owns and runs their central bank, now..

Who gives a sh*t about you and your family Iolo? We are talking about your country which is up to its neck in blood. Your country plundered half of the world for centuries, your country's legacy is the disastrous mess you left the world in when you finally withdrew (mostly) and you are fully responsible for a lot of bloodshed that's going on in the world today. The Middle East is case in point.

Yet your country still has not stopped, it's still bombing, invading, occupying oppressing...

If you called me a Turk I would tell you I wasn't a Turk, child, and if you ranted on about Turkish history I'd point out it had nothing to do with me, as even you nazis would expect. My country has never plundered anyone, you clown, if only becaue it has never been in a position to do so. Stop ranting and repent.

There is no patrimony in Israel. As has been pointed out to you numerous times, patrimony involves the handing down of property from, for example, father to son. There was no contiguity in Israel's case simply because there was no Israel prior to 1947. Try again. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/patrimony

    Who cares about some Queen?

    She's not my Queen, chum.

Besides, maybe we should have a look at her 'jewels'.

We can start with her most recent one..

Jubilee Diamond linked to family massacre.

War crimes funded by Steinmetz blood diamonds

For the fourth consecutive weekend human rights activists in London will stage a demonstration to highlight the linkage between the De Beers' Forevermark Steinmetz Jubilee Diamond put on display in the Tower of London and the massacre of 29 members of the Samouni family during the Israeli assault on Gaza in the winter of 2008/2009 (Operation Cast Lead)

The Steinmetz Foundation funded and supported a Unit of the Givati Brigade of the Israeli military during Cast Lead. The Givati Brigade was directly responsible for killing 29 members of the Samouni family when the house in which over 100 members of the family were forced to shelter was bombed by the Brigade. The Brigade prevented emergency medical teams from reaching the wounded and dying for four days.

A UN Human Rights Council investigation concluded that Israeli forces committed serious war crimes and possible crimes against humanity during the three week assault that left over 1400 people dead including more than 300 children.

Demonstration have been held each weekend at the Tower of London since the Jubilee Diamond, now referred to by activists as the Samouni Blood Diamond, went on display three weeks ago. The Samouni family issued a video appeal to Queen Elizabeth II asking for the "offensive blood diamond" to be removed.

On Saturday 7th July a demonstration will take place outside De Beers jewellery shop on Piccadilly and Bond Street. According to a spokesperson the demonstrators "by focusing attention on De Beers we hope public pressure will force them to respect the wishes of the Samouni family and remove the Samouni Blood Diamond from the Tower of London. It will also provide an opportunity to inform shoppers that the diamond market is heavily contaminated with cut and polished diamonds that fund gross human rights violations, including war crimes and that these blood diamonds are not subject to any regulation and are sold to unsuspecting consumers labelled as conflict-free diamonds.

Last December Global Witness withdrew from the international diamond regulatory system know as the Kimberley Process (KP) after it failed to broaden the definition of a "conflict diamond" to include diamonds that fund human rights violations by government forces. In June, an intercessional meeting of the KP ended without reaching agreement on a proposal to ban rough diamonds that fund human rights violations by government forces associated with the mining sector but excluding cut and polished diamonds that fund human rights violations by rogue governments.

The public can have no confidence in the Kimberley Process system of self-regulation by vested interests who refuses to ban the trade in all blood diamonds.
