In a 30 foot tall wall they are. The lever arm action on that and the stresses imposed are huge.

I don't have either one of those devices. You couldn't pay me to put anything like that in my house. :disbelief:

Well yea, you're just adding evidence to the incompetence and negligence of the construction company for not taking the obvious into account. There is little doubt that the previous few sections of the fence concrete has also been structurally compromised. 37mph winds are not high wind events.

Ok, if that is how feel. No sense in arguing it.

I've driven to our job sites in 20 MPH sustained winds to check on in progress work, but whatever.

Don't all Federal projects paid for with taxpayer money require that the job be posted for the submission of bids to perform the work at the most competitive price????Was this done for wall construction??

A few panels were blown over in abnormally high winds 4 days ago during construction. It's probably fixed by now. But thanks for your concern.

Do you think they've learned their lesson or is there more weak panels that are in the sections of the wall? You know I was in the construction business for forty years and I knew that no single standing wall could stand by itself until it was dried or had some interlocking support. I have a feeling that the company and people paid to erect this wall do not have such inclinations.

It seems that the Trumpette's are the party of people who didn't know there was already a wall in place.

I have seen six foot walls blown down when they had no support.

They winds were abnormally strong (37 mph) which caused the panels to tilt off their foundations. They will increase the bracing of the panels until the concrete has sufficient time to cure.

    Your feelings are irrelevant.

Then you make your feelings irrelevant also.

Yes you did but I can't make the blind abe to see..They braced the wall after the fact yet could not for the life of their feeling take the time to do it in the first place like we used to do for unforseeable liability issues.

They did not account for the high winds (37 mph with gusts much higher). As you point out they will have to fix the problem and probably already have. What our Trump haters fail to ask is how many panels did not tilt over.

Yup. It's not a giant deal. Things go wrong in construction all the time. When it happens, you take it in stride. You fix it and continue on. One day in the future, the crew will reflect on it over morning coffee or beers at days end, and laugh. These are the blue collar guys who build everything there is to see that isn't natural.
