Not necessarily correct in my opinion. Just because a law might some day be overturned does not make it unconstitutional now.

As I see it, only laws which directly contradict the Constitution are unconstitutional. This should be obvious to those passing laws and should be a significant consideration when passing them. The right to bear arms shall not be infringed means I have the right to carry any weapon I want any time I want. My rights as to what I do with that weapon may or may not stop at the end of the barrel. Do I have a right to stand in Times Square and shoot it in the air? No, there is no Constitutional guarantee for that. It would endanger others and infringe on their rights. A law prohibiting me from shooting in Times Square would be acceptable. That law does not infringe on my Constitutional right to carry my weapon. I have a Constitutional right to free speech. There are many restrictions on speech but not directly on my right. Restrictions are placed on free speech when it starts to interfere with other's rights. I should not shout "fire" in a crowded building. I should not be allowed to stand on a street corner and holler obscenities at passersby. My gun on my hip violates no one's rights. Making me take it off violates mine.

As usual I ramble on. My thoughts are, laws should be enacted with the U.S Constitution and State's Constitutions in mind. With the thought, does this contradict the rules of the land?

Just more of my mundane thoughts. I could be wrong.
