Oh dear, one of those Americans who think they won WWII for the planet. Here's a study on why different countries believe they won WWII.

Amazing how the cowards of today try to take credit for the fallen, I bet past generations must feel so proud of today's cowards.

Can I suggest you choose a different user name as it's not working.

The reality is, on American forums, Americans always try to claim to 'foreigners' that you can't change the US Constitution. Where they get this crazy idea from, no idea. I mean, there's a clue in the word amendments, and they've forgot about slavery and prohibition.

So there are two ways to amend the US Constitution and I posted the link on those ways. The link also incudes Article V. Then some Americans switch from 'the Constitution can't be changed' to how difficult it will be, how many states need to ratify it etc.. and all that crap. And the reality is, that has never been under dispute. I can only assume it's some bizarre American cultural tactic of jumping debates around, probably thinking they're achieving some higher imaginary hierarchy.

If a study was conducted, I would bet my last tenner in my wallet that only a tiny proportion read links and/or watch short YouTube videos going over some information. Probably why the word " mumpsimus " exists.

There's a vast gap between theory and practice when it comes to amending the Constitution. Since the Bill of Rights was ratified, it's been changed a net 15 times in 231 years. It's been attempted over 11,000 times. Practically, the Second Amendment isn't going to be amended or repealed.

If there is sufficient danger to warrant changing the laws, there's sufficient danger to warrant carrying a gun for self defense.

    Do we still have prohibition?

Find a recent red/blue map of the states. Start counting red states. Stop when you get to 13.

Then you should write the Democrats. They claim we're in a pandemic of gun violence.

why do you ask a question that assumes facts not either in evidence nor supported by reality?

Literally no one has claimed that here. I like the jaunty cap on the strawman though, very festive.
I have pointed out the math it requires, and that a super-critical number of states do not support the change you, a foreigner, want.

There are indeed 2 ways, and I even fully explained the whys and hows involved in the real world IE A certain number of states must want the change and a certain number of states do not in fact want that change as demonstrated by their embrace of permitless or constitutional carry regimes.

Yes, that's nice you used your word of the day calendar twice. wooo hooo.

In the UK and US, there's no sufficient stats outlining danger. The UK's freak fascist laws allow us to cross the road where we want to without getting fined. How's it going in the Land of the Free :applause:

@Grau don't forget, the US has been giving money and equipment to Ukraine, and if Ukraine win, you make sure you claim that you won the war, especially if the US go in at the end. You need to be consistent.

And doubly don't forget if Ukraine lose, have a backup excuse on why America lost the war.

Do some research on the Lend-Lease Act, oh, don't forget to look at the Reverse Lend-Lease. when you do your studies, you will find that the Lend-Lease contributed to the Allied victory, it wasn't the sole item that won the war, it contributed. There were many countries as allies fighting against the Nazi's, they collectively won the war.

Although the US wasn't expecting repayment on everything, could you find out when the UK repaid the US. I think it was 61 years later, so have a look around the 6th December 2006.

I think that generalizations like that are neither accurate nor productive.

I worked as a psychiatric case worker for about 10 years and have helped treat individuals who are truly paranoid.
There's a difference between being realistically cautious and paranoid.

Discreetly carrying a firearm in a high crime area is no more paranoid than locking your doors and windows before you go away or go to sleep

I lived in an inner city neighborhood that had a fairly high crime rate for about 20 years. I lived there both because it was the only area where I could afford to buy a home and there were aspects of historic neighborhoods that I liked.
Because my blacksmith shop was only 3 blocks away, I would walk to work and sometimes work late on larger wrought iron projects.

Anyway, I can think of at least three times in which having a firearm with me has saved from individuals whose intentions were not to make me any happier, healthier or wealthier...... you can believe what you want.

Now, that I've moved to the country, I carry a firearm very rarely and that is primarily because if I hit a deer with my car, I'd like to be able to put it out of its misery.

    Thanks,

Please drop the snarky attitude and puerile insults. Nobody is impressed by them at least in a positive way.

I cited that source to communicate this historic reality:

"If the Germans had been able to invade at the time, they would have encountered a largely disarmed Britain."

If the colonies didn't receive the help of the French, the Brits would have encountered a largely disarmed colony.
