So there we have it. Funding to the CDC and NIH has not been cut, and any cuts to the CDC grant program for state and local preparedness were "set in motion by a congressional budget measure that predates Trump."

Meanwhile, as Pelosi and Schumer face blowback for how they've politicized this whole thing, they're trying to turn the tables by issuing a statement that "this is not the time for name-calling or playing politics." Oh, the irony, coming from the duo who have been hellbent on politicizing this
