Though, personally, I also think that their recognizing the kind of story that will drive up ratings-- and this has everything: human interest, with both the heart-breaking & the inspiring; international affairs; major upheaval from a military take-over; and national political dynamics, to name some of its aspects-- is part of what gets the press excited about a story.

My OP is trying to point out that the media follow the wishes of the political elite.

For example, Trump was fought so furiously on so many different levels because, for example, Trump fought political elitism in America.

 

I think there's quite a bit of human interest and heart wrenching stories to tell about the border crisis but the media isn't even covering it. I think it's evident the media isn't covering the border crisis, for example, because political elites don't care about the border crisis. To put it bluntly, the press are whores to political elites.

 

It is those dems that would have to impeach him. He is valuable to them. He does whatever they want him to do.

 

I don't mean to openly imply Biden has dementia. I meant to imply the Biden Administration botched the pull out from Afghanistan. I meant to imply political elites who hate Biden (and want Harris) will openly convey their desires...via the media, for example.

 

The dems never intended for Biden to serve a full term, and damn sure not a second. He's the lead pawn in their game, the disposable front man that will allow people who couldn't have been elected to slide into the top seat. That's why they elected a man who stayed in his basement; they knew what they were doing.

I kinda agree with this. However using the term dems in the OP is unfortunate and incorrect. The correct phrasing should be political elites want to use (and abuse) Biden - like they did Trump. Trump knew he was constantly fighting political elites. I'm not sure what Biden knows.

There is always flaws in referring to the entire group of any political party, you are right. Of course, those who follow without question or independent thinking are complicit in electing the wrong people, but many still have the best intentions. I have seen what I consider a deterioration of the purpose and clarity on both sides. Used to be that both people had pretty much the same quality of goals for the nation, but differed on how to reach them. Today, we have people willing to discard all the goals that made the nation great, and trash it. That offends most old people like me.

I don't think Biden is as complicit in the issues happening now as many believe- because I don't think he grasps the situation well, if at all. There are definitely people behind all the turmoil, organizing, orchestrating it. Those are of course, the real cupriits- mostly hiding behind the cannon fodder they talk into being the visible players. Political elites or people bent on some kind of coup, but definitely with no good intents for the nation

I wouldn't call those who hide behind Biden as a part of democracy - they're the opposite of democracy. I'd call the 'Biden-hiders' the political elite. The political elite are calling the shots in America, right now, and this should be very alarming to most Americans.
