Can Liz Cheney survive the Pro Trump Republicans??

The Defense Department was formerly the War Department and as with the CIA, there are all sorts of prohibitions on their operations within the United States. Homeland Security is composed primarily of four departments: Coast Guard, Immigration, Border Patrol and Cyber-Security. All but the latter were formerly part of the Treasury Department. The latter. I believe, is new. So, basically, Homeland Security was carved out of the Treasury Department.

 

Yeah, choosing a kid doesn't seem like the best move. Leadership positions should probably be reserved for people with longer than 5 minutes of public office experience.

I'm not sure that it's hard to believe that he could be President again. I mean, if Biden does a bad enough job and he is radical enough, and Trump ends up as they Republican nominee, anything is possible!

 

Hmmm? True. Virtually everything is a "probability." The pandemic could get worse, not better. A giant meteor could strike the Earth. Climate Change could flip. Trump could be president again. Possible? Yes. Likely? No.

I understand this woman. Who would want to admit a presidential election could be cheated? I wouldn't want to admit that if I was in her position. She's very smart and I wish her well.

I don't think I used the term "worship." I suspect there is a wide range of reasons for his support...ranging from the lesser evil to worship...I'd guess the latter is between 5-10% of his support at best.

Can you support this with some sort of polling data?

 

Are massive import taxes conservative? Is hiking the debt by 8 trillion in 4 years conservative? Are insults, blame game and mockery conservative? Is non-stop lying conservative? Is it conservative to send handouts to everyone (working or not) in form of checks bearing his on name? Is attacking free press conservative? IS mocking disabled people conservative? Is calling war veterans "losers and suckers" conservative?

 

Was it any different to Bush's version of conservatism?

Cheney being one of the few Republicans not being an ally to Trump. I don't think she fears Trump. She is one that could stand up to Trump.

 

You think he really doesn't have many followers? I suppose that's possible. I remember hearing about a poll that showed his support had fallen to around 32%, a few weeks ago. I'd guess he has a base of around 20% no matter what.

An argument can be made that if the African-American vote in Milwaukee, Detroit and Philadelphia had been as high as in the Obama elections, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania would have stayed Democratic and Clinton would have been elected.
