The more drama Dirty Donnie creates, the greater the chance that mid-terms will be about his failure(s) and not any Republican alternatives to Democrats.

That’s good for Democrats and, for that matter, the US in general.

    Agree.

But Dirty Don is running the GOP..........and the whole tone of the party will change even more once Cheney is gone. It's whole philosophy and value system is changing. into something even less cooperative .and more nasty.

Cheney is not the only one who is being canceled by the GQP. There are at least 10 others who are being targeted for cancellation.

Republicans are trying to bully a GOP lawmaker out of Congress for insufficient loyalty to Trump
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...cient-loyalty-to-trump/ar-BB1gzTv7?li=BBnbfcL
Republican Congressman Anthony Gonzalez was censured by the Ohio Republican Party this past week, alongside another nine GOP lawmakers, over their role in voting in favor of former President Donald Trump's impeachment. But the Ohio Republican Party isn't stopping with merely censuring Gonzalez; now they want him to submit in his resignation letter.

"On Friday, the party's governing board called on Gonzalez, R-Rocky River, to resign in a divided vote. They also voted to censure Gonzalez and nine other members of Congress for "their votes to support the unconstitutional, politically motivated impeachment proceeding against President Donald J. Trump," according to the resolution," The Cincinnati Enquirer reported.

The ironic thing is that the lady from NY trying to take her leadership position is far more liberal than Cheney. But about a year ago she all of a sudden started to kiss Trump's ass and "poof" she is now the darling of the GOP

Liz Cheney had her reasons to impeach Trump and who cam blame her? There are still many Republicans that look to Trump as their leader. Trump is out to ruin everybody regardless on what anyone thinks of him.

I know, I have heard the voting stats. It is no longer about policy positions.

Another fly in the ointment is that NY is losing a seat after the official Census results come out and her seat may not exist much longer

Survive? Yes, she’ll still be a Wyoming Representative. Just not the House Republican Caucus Chairman. Why should she keep the job when a majority of her caucus disagrees with her.

Not a new Republican party, but a conservative one. Republicans can keep the populist brand.

That seems to be the case. Why is he seen in this way?? Why have they hitched their wagons to this "savior"?? What does he have that no previous POTUS had in having such a hold on them?? Are they that afraid of him?? What promise does he hold for them??

indeed......and therefore we see a cult , rather than a political party. As they "cleanse" the group of anyone that still thinks independently....... their 'savior" will have full control over them. and they will blindly do his bidding.

( Now that is very concerning.......as it can lead to paths very treacherous.

Remember the result of Jim Jones followers?
Same result will happen. Not literally though.

I remember it well. The analogy of a cult seems to fit . No other POTUS , that I can remember had that much control over his followers. That gives him permission to do anything he wants...... as they will just go along with it.......supporting anything he does and says. By being so aggressive about Liz..... McCarthy is doing Trumps work for him.........as trump can't sand Cheney. McCarthy can't be trusted as he has done a total turn around from the day of the insurrection. The insurrection itself was a symptom of the phenomena taking place.

That's insulting and foolish because it underestimates Trump voters.
