Even using your figures, that is a massive amount of people. Assuming your best case scenario is correct and 28% of immigrants are skipping their hearings, I assume you would then support any ICE raids to deport those who are skipping their hearings.

Well you are correct it is complex, but the issue is escalating out of hand, and a wall will not fix it.

I have no problem deporting those that are no shows assuming you have enough manpower to do it without letting the criminals run free.
I see absolutely no reason to publicize those deportations. In addition to being counterproductive it borders on terrorism.

 

Once upon a time there was a Yuge immigration bill that passed the Senate with bipartisan support.
Unfortunately they always require amnesty to make them work well and get public support. The R's of course can't have this because all their anti immigrant rhetoric probably makes them democrat voters even if the R's help pass the bill.

I agree that a wall by itself will not fix it. However, it will be greatly beneficial and will help. As I said, I have been along the whole border. I know what is happening....or not happening. People seem to want to downplay the benefit of a wall....mainly for partisan reasons. Those people are absolutely wrong.
