    like Trump and his weather map, I do not think he has a grand strategy, I think he misspoke and rather then just admit it and move on, he does what Trump does

    those are human beings

    just curious, do you support death with dignity for those that are terminal and choose that option for themselves? I do....

    NEW ORLEANS, La. (WVUE) - The first coronavirus death in Louisiana was reported to be a 58-year-old New Orleans resident, according to a release.

    The patient was being treated at Touro Infirmary Hospital and Medical Center.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    This is surprising. It was only on March 9 that Louisiana announced its first positive case. Not sure if it's the same patient.
    Time for the Sharpie and the Clean Bill of Health that says he weighs 239.
    Anyway, it is Sad that Trump is down-playing this.
    Since, it is Universally Accepted that:
    Trump's Initial Mishandling is 100% Responsible for the spread.
    Trump may finally have a clue. His inability to provide leadership when confronted by the crisis is a matter of record, but that can be dealt with later. He'll lie about it, of course, but he may finally be shaping up and be willing to listen to experts going forward.
    are you American, most Americans know what "death with dignity" for the terminally ill means
    https://www.deathwithdignity.org/learn/death-with-dignity-acts/
    "Death with dignity laws, also known as physician-assisted dying or aid-in-dying laws, stem from the basic idea that it is the terminally ill people, not government and its interference, politicians and their ideology, or religious leaders and their dogma, who should make their end-of-life decisions and determine how much pain and suffering they should endure."
    Earth to FreshAir.
    This is about sick people and their susceptibility to death from run of the mill illnesses.
    Dignity has nothing to do with it.
    The only thing that matters is if the dummies around the world will work together to solve this problem and share the solution so that everyone can benefit.
    examples.
    last three days stores are packed, people stocking up in droves. risking a crowded store for 30 minutes whole we stock up... ready to hunker down for a few days, right????
    nope
    8pm I take a nice quiet bike ride towards the water . but its not so quiet: the marina is packed. outdoor party, live band. drinking. dancing, 4-500 people having a blast.
    I rode past the crowd and just shook my head. locally we are just encouraging a spread. id be surprised if my city was the only one doing the same. it seems like a lost cause to be honest.
    excellent points, I'm still talking this seriously for my own protection but we are really just thinning the herd, and not really in massive number, assuming it stays somewhat contained.
    with that said.
    if we picked any other of the top 10 causes of death and counted them by the hour and gave it 24/7 media coverage, wouldnt we totally be freaking out about opioids, or heart disease or X right now?
    I'm accepting the scientific fact that a temporary precautionary measure is keeping the numbers low but part of me would be shocked that at least one country goes down thr rabbit hole,
    honestly id be a little disappointed considering the steps taken and money paid or lost if we di t see a worst case scenario somewhere.
    just sayin
    https://www.who.int/health-topics/coronavirus
    So your argument is that it is normal for 15% of patients to die from the flu. Got it. You don't have a clue what you are talking about and you are just generating strawmen.
    You didn't answer my question. Who the hell are you? What are you degrees? How long have you practiced medicine or done research?
    The rest is just bs. The entire world is reacting to this. Even your tin god has declared a national emergency. Get a grip. You are wrong because you listen to bs crackpot sources. Welcome back to earth.
    3 more patients from the Kirkland Home died.
    In that age group and state of health, death is common from illnesses that healthy people shake off with little inconvenience.
    They are the sickest of the sick, barely clinging to life. What do you think nursing homes are for, vacations? Retirement homes?
    Giggles.
    And you knew none of the answers.
    Go watch more hyperventilating freaks on television wad your panties for ratings
    That's what I thought. You are a self proclaimed Holiday Inn expert.
    How do you explain the reaction of the rest of the world and even trump declaring this a national emergency?
    You have all the answers and they are all wrong, right Galileo?
    Teh response from the Trump supporters seems to be “oh! Well with the elderly gone that is less strain on the social security system”.
    Beyond that it means accepting that they have been living in a fantasy world. But this is going to jump up and smack them upside the head like a 50 pound hammer.
    As we have seen here, someone can spin up 50 crackpot arguments in a matter of minutes, even when faced with an entire planet reacting to the crisis.
    I would argue it's just feel good measures.
    The **** is in the communities. There's no stopping it.
    Check out the bars. They're filled with college students not going to class, 20 somethings trying to make hay with college students. The malls are filled with vacationing high school students.
    Day cares have silently passed this crap everywhere. Walmarts are filled with idiots hissing and spitting all over each other. Stat cares are jamed with human incubators spreading the virus like wildfire. Hospital staff are being exposed on a grand scale.
    This cat left the bag long ago.
    Yeah, I even predicted that trumpers were more likely to get it than others because they were living in denial and therefore likely to not take precautions. It only took a week or two for my prediction to come true, first at CPAC and then Mar a Lago. The head of the RNC or similar has been quarantined as well now.
    Have you noticed that all of the politicians who have been quarantined have been Republicans? LOL!!!
    No, that's Ezekiel Emanuel's response to the elderly, and you are someone who agrees, advocating not wasting medical resources on high risk elderly patients. We've had this discussion many times. Now you want to blow the wad saving them while you hyperventilate
