And what would you have done if the kid hit you back?

Neutralized them with the minimal force required. Simple as that.

Actually my kids have never seen me angry. Disappointed yes, and you're right that they didn't like that. But they sometimes tended to repeat the offense until I spanked them. See, I also have a rule that before they were ever punished, even slightly, for anything they got one freebie. That freebie was used to explain what they did wrong and why it was wrong and to express my disappointment. If they continued to do the same thing wrong after that then a punishment was assigned. What the punishment was depended on the severity of what they did wrong. Including up to spankings.

not many would trust a teacher\preacher to physically punish their child

"Pastor: I punched a kid ‘as hard as I could’ for ‘not taking the Lord serious’"

How practically would you neutralise them?
    With a taser?
What about the child returning another time wishing to get revenge on you for your violent conduct?
Perhaps revenge with a machine gun.

NO one is FORCED to play sports, they are CONSENTING to be possibly injured...there is a BIG difference DUH, between consenting and NOT consenting....there are lovers who get a kck out of harming each other but tye CONSENT to it...

It's the result of not being able to think it out..

LOL, so when I do it it's "repeating " and when you do it it's something else...

Gee, maybe you should HIT me so I see your way of "thinking" ?????

    ...it should be...

Many decades ago, when there weren't school shootings, kids were spanked all the time, even in school.

That's because kids learned early on about consequences for their actions. Today's kids are lacking that.

    """"""""""" It isn't meant to injure. """""""""""""""

But it can and does....but, heck, it beats THINKING about the kid's problem and trying to fix it..

The kid once recovered should’ve beaten the bejaysus out of that evil man with an iron bar.
Might have taught him to take questioning his beliefs more seriously.

I always find it interesting how people always go to the extremes to try and make their point. No kid is going to bring a machine gun to school simply because they were paddled once or even twice. School shootings happen due to mental illnesses and/or having sustained heavy abuse by other children, usually for years with no relief or help from adults.

Are you saying that routine violent assaults by big people on little people in schools prevents school shootings?

    Ok.
So how do you ‘neutralise’ a child who fights back, violently, when they are being assaulted?
    With a taser?

The "bully" kids needed parents who spanked them to teach them lessons. They were let to run amok and be the problem kids they are/were.

Ironic. You have several posts denouncing spankings while at the same time encouraging kids to be violent worse than what a spanking does.

That said, I actually agree with you on this one thing in regards to that preacher. Punching is not spanking by any stretch of the imagination and IS abuse. I'd have no problem beating the crap out of that preacher myself.

    Yes they are.
I am afraid you are mistaken.
I ask again, what do you do if the child stands up for themselves against the violent assault and hits back?

bullies usually have parents that abuse them

they learned that abusing others when you don't get your way is ok from someone

If you've raised children correctly, this will not happen. The "what ifs" you're asking are ridiculous.
