Now there is a perfectly legitimate observation. What it lacks, as compared to the current admin, is an indication those lobbyists during Obama's tenure were working in the interest of the entities they used to represent and not the public.

Gee, I hope you're wrong. Because if pointing out the Groper-in-Chief's voluminous shortcomings results in people voting for him the country has more to worry about than another 4 years of mind boggling incompetence and corruption.

 

With all respect, I think you missed what Trump was saying. I know he tends to ramble, and talks in metaphors. It take a bit of effort to gather up what he is getting at, but here it is:

Trump is pointing out how self destructive an out of control social welfare state can be. Some people, who are perfectly healthy and able to work, won't even bother to get a job, if they could enjoy being unproductive, living off taxpayer funded social welfare. Why bother to leave the house and get a job, when you can be a couch potato, play video games and post on FaceBook, at home, if they can collect enough social welfare to get by? The answer to that question, for some lazy people, is to they'd choose the couch potato life.

Some of the Democratic Party candidates running for president are proposing huge increases to the welfare state; free college, free health care, free minimum annual personal income. We cannot have so many able bodied people accept the social welfare subsistence life. Who will pay for it? It is unrealistic, not sustainable, and when our economy comes crashing down, and these people have lost their free welfare money, there will be riots in the streets.

 

Obstruction that may have occurred in no way has to be tied to collusion. IMO, the real reason Trump tried to stimy the Meuller probe was because he was worried it would find dirt on him and his family that had nothing to do with collusion. Otherwise, why try and get the investigation shut down? Trump would have known whether he was guilty of collusion, and if he knew he hadn't done it, one would think he'd sit back and laugh. But he didn't. He tried on multiple occasions to slow or stop the investigation. Since it wasn't charges of collusion he was worried about, what do you think he WAS worried about?

The answer, of course, is that he was worried about the same types of things being discovered that led to 34 indictments being handed down to others as a result of the Meuller investigation.

 

You did not read the Mueller report. It did not say Trump was exhonorated on either score.

It did say that the Special Prosecutor declined to seek indictment because of Justice Department policy. It said that there was no evidence of successful collusion. But it also detailed the many well known examples of how the Trump campaign sought to collude and eagerly supported the idea.

Trump has certainly tried to hinder investigations. Indeed that is his entire focus now (other than sabre rattling over Iran).

And no underlying crime is necessary for an obstruction charge, although you Trumpsters still try and repeat the false assertion to the contrary.

Sorry, but no one is giving up on making sure that this corrupt little man child of your doesn't continue to subvert the rule of law, undermine the insititutions of your government, and destroy the meaning of the Constitution. Because if Trump is allowed to get away with those things, he is paving the way for a smart tyrant to end democracy in America.

Trump is not smart enough, competent, or ambitious enough to do that himself. He's a game show host, no a fuhrer (although he likes to comport himself as one).

And if the last four years prove anything, when a tyrant with the same pseudo facist "populist" message does come along with an objective to make himself a dictator or a baron, it will be the talk radio right wing that will lead the chorus in support.

 

He is breaking a lot of records that's for sure.
