You are joking aren't you? It is their ideology: Free-market, laissez faire, anti environment, de-regulation etc. Favourable to corporate interests. They share the same view. So does Labor, just not quite as far.

Neither are US style Republicans... yet. But QLD is worrying.

If you want a little bit...
    - PBS - Howard tried to include it in the 'free trade' agreement. It would have cost us more and given more power/control to big pharma here.
    - Selloffs - We've sold nearly everything the last 30 years. Libs and Labor both.
    - Private Health subsidy
    - Department of Deregulation
    - First home vendors boost (first home buyers grant)
    - Abbotts absurd plan to give money to corporations to *maybe* pollute less (he could just build a couple of clean powerplants like the A.C.T. is doing). It's clearly just a fat cash injection to whichever corporations get it.

I'm not going to spend anymore time on it. By definition of their ideological stance on government regulation, they are aligned with business interests. In my opinion over the public interest, which i think they think is the same thing.

Lets all face it both parties are backed to the high hilt by big business, that's why we have lobby groups. Ask Obama. His first term was all about paying off his debt to his backers. They run multi million dollar political campaigns, where do you think they get the money for this. Whether they are backed by big mining conglomerates or heavy union power brokers, they all receive gratuities from outside sources. To label one and not the other is either naive or just plain stooging.

I was being a little facetious and having a light hearted jibe at TV and his bias, but the questions still stand, which in one way shows TVs bias but in another shows the Libs reticence in releasing policy. This begs two questions. Do they have any policy ? And, is their policies that weak that they dare not release them too early so there will be less time to tear them apart ?

    Just me being a cynical bast@@@ !

If I'm biase for what I believe is the best option for us collectively as Australian people, then I am biase. It is quite evident who has the runs on the board, that is if you are not listening to mainstream media and obviously fony abbott.

I'm sick of the lies and deception of the coalition with the support of mainstream media. I'm not particularly a labor person but totally believe they are the party who have and will take us forward. The coalition must rethink economic ideals and consider all Australians not just those over and above middle class Australia. Thank God for world economic growth during the turd Howard's years in government, otherwise we would be frigged!

Big business is obviously important dumb, there is no question about this. It is about balance, which labor have demonstrated are more inclined to protect all Australians from all socio-economic statuses. Look, there are some things that unfortunately can't be controlled unless both parties put aside personal interests to be honest and straight with the people. Sure, playing politics is fine if there is legitate opposition and legitimate alternatives. For instance, I find it astounding that Abbott wants to scrap an ets, to replace it with a direct action plan, especially when his government had it concrete in their policies obviously until Gillard and Rudd decided to strongly consider implementation. I'm not arguing with you here about climate change but about deception and politicking! Fony Abbott is taking the Australian people for a ride and completely supported by what all manner of man knowingly concludes (mainstream media) reporting is unethical. I'd understand you may think differently, if you "honestly" believe that Murdoch has the interest of all Australians in his interest.

    Yep, the coalition.

But you are not sick of the lies and deception of Labor with the support of the media?

    AAAHHHHH!!!! AHAHAHAHA!!!

I know where you are coming from old matey, it is quite easy to look at a world economic upturn and think that Howard was responsible for causing this world wide economic phenomenon. You could be forgiven for this, many people fell for it. He actually convinced many people in Australia that he was solely responsible for it. I hope you'll join with us denouncing this deceptive turds lies and failure to build for Australia's future during this period of wide spread prosperity the world over. Remember, once good times were coming to an end he wanted to slap everybody with work choices. He was a wolf in sheeps clothing, but some of us could see his tail wagging out his arrrse end.

LETS NOT GIVE CONTROL TO THE CONSERVATIVES...

According to your own signature Rudd is “A conservative is a man with two perfectly good legs who, however, has never learned how to walk forward.”

    What superficial idiots

Why on earth provide a blatantly biased article???

Australians once left their children better off than themselves, but Labor’s wastrel ways have ended all that, writes the Leader of the Opposition, Malcolm Turnbull.

I suppose CEO's of our Big Banks know nothing.......just believe anything the opposition says.....lol!
