    Truth?

    You just claimed that the virus enters the body through the eyes.

    Go away

    you seem to have me confused with someone else. Masking up and locking down has been exposed as the political tool that it was

    Actually, I would not be one bit surprised if the China Virus was designed by Communist Globalists to work the playing field in their favor. I'll always be skeptical. The Trump economy was steam rolling Marxist Democrats back in 2020 B.C. (b.c. is "before China virus")

    Good video. Sweden did fail to protect its seniors in nursing homes early in the pandemic, else their numbers would be in line with other countries. That criticism is the only legitimate criticism of their response, IMO. The rest is pure politics.

    I'm looking at the graph and trying to figure out what you are saying. Where's the part where they are "now doing better than the world average"? Your graph doesn't appear to show that at all.

    2.1% GDP fourth quarter 2019 and falling throughout the year was not "steam rolling" anything. The virus came just in time for Trump to hide GDP rate figures and his economic failure after the massive tax cuts

    Quote; ......else, their numbers would be in line with other countries

    Are you comparing?

    Percent of Covid19 deaths linked to Nursing Homes and long term care facilities;

    Sweden; 80%
    Canada; 80% source; medicalxpress.com
    U.S.; 40%

    Sweden’s number of deaths per 1M pop; 580
    Canada’s number of deaths per 1M pop; 243
    U.S. number of deaths per 1M pop; 609

    Looks like Canada also failed to protect their seniors in senior homes, else their numbers would be significantly low.

    Let’s assume Sweden/Canada’s percentage of deaths in senior homes were at par with the U.S., thus, minus 40%;

    Sweden # of deaths per 1M pop; 348
    Canada # of deaths per 1M pop; 145

    Number of countries with less than 150 deaths per 1 million pop; over 100

    Note: Many countries have a very high percentage of Covid19 deaths linked to senior homes, however, the below average intelligent people believe Sweden has the highest percentage.

    In other words, “if Sweden’s percentage of Senior home’s Covid19 deaths was the same as other countries....BS!

    One aspect of Sweden's performance that doesn't seem to be part of the reporting is how much of their population took the mitigation recommendations seriously. Here in the states, we have folks who think it's their patriotic duty to ignore safety recommendations. Did Sweden have a likewise similar percentage of their population that did the same? Or as a more homogeneous society, did they practice social responsibility on a higher level than we have here in the U.S.?

    The lockdowns only started becoming necessary because folks were ignoring the weeks of less drastic safety recommendations that preceded them. Imagine what the results would be here in the U.S. if the majority of folks respected the distancing. sanitation, and mask wearing necessary to combat a contagious virus? Instead, we had a president who eschewed those things(and still does), inspiring millions of people to do the same.

    The amount of entitlement I've seen here in the U.S., as if we as Americans shouldn't be expected to have a highly contagious virus be an inconvenience on our lives, is just disgusting. And it's a major part of why lockdowns became necessary, and will likely be necessary again(even though we probably won't enter another round of them).

    Entitlement. That is what is driving the virus in this country. It's nothing more than that.

    Excellent points!

    Responsible adults VERSUS adults acting like repulsive children.....”I don’t want to wear a mask, and don’t tell me what to do”

    Here in the states, we have a Constitution that specifies and guarantees rights, and a federal judge just ruled yesterday that the Pennsylvania governor violated that Constitution some months back.

    Here in the states we have folks who defend that Constitution, and by extension those rights you so quickly dismiss.

    Here in the states we have folks who know when they've been terrorized and deceived, though they might be in the minority. Here in the states we do have people who are well enough informed to understand that the virus has been wildly exaggerated by people with a vested interest.

    Then, here in the states we have people who still do not understand they've been terrorized and misinformed and deceived, and likely never will understand that. Cognitive Dissonance is quite prevalent here in the states. :angel:

    Even graph comparisons perpetuate the Covid fear mongering.

    Look at San Marino with what looks like about 1,200 deaths per million people compared with the world average at 75 deaths per million people. Of course, most people think, "Oh my! How horrible! What has San Marino done wrong???" The fact is that San Marino doesn't have a 1 million population. They have had 42 total deaths out of a population of 33,785. They've lost 0.12% of their population to Covid. 99.88% San Marinoans are still with us.

    In perspective lives lost as a percentage of the total population:

    San Marino = 0.12%
    Sweden = 0.06%
    World Avg. = 0.01%

    So San Marino has lost 16.6 times as many people per million as the world average (Oh gasp! :cynic: ), and yet they did not lose 99.88% of their population. And they are "the most deadly Covid country" in the world.

    We'd have to lose 10,000 per million people to be at 1%. That would be 3.25 million Americans, which would be rather alarming, but it would still give people 99% odds of surviving Covid.

    The lock downs need to end.

    Why compare counties when the odds of dying from Covid are tiny even in "the worst" country on the planet?

    All the nonsense you just typed is a compelling case for why stupidity is a major driver of decisions involving the virus in this country by the "muh rights" crowd.

    People from across this country showed, prior to the lockdowns, that they were not mature enough or civically minded enough to do what was responsible and necessary on their own. The government had to step in because the people were doing nothing.

    That is not a virtue that shows this country's attitude about freedom, it's a symptom of this country's complete disregard of the responsibility that comes with it.

    Lock downs ended in Florida and Texas and Georgia and California.

    Infections spikes and deaths spiked and they had to lock down again

    How many times can we do that?

    Because the odds were less tiny in Sweden, and the damage to the economy was similar.

    Add to that the fact that the Swedes were better than we are at complying with masks and such...

    Yes, it is true. They figured out that doctors/nurses in China were getting infections through their eyes early on when the face masks alone weren't effective.

    Doesn't change the fact that 99.94% of Swedes are still alive and kickin'.

    Stop with the "eyes" thing. It's your not so subtle way to disparage mask wearing...which you claim to be a proponent of
