I've already stated I never agreed with it, but the economy was really bouncing back good 6 months ago and people were back to work. 6 months ago was an estimate, don't start nitpicking on timeline details. That's not the point.

There should have NEVER been a moratorium on evictions but the fact that there is still one while businesses can't find workers is ridiculous. No reason why the gov't should be paying anyone's rent.

No, why are you stuck on Trump? Biden is president now and we are talking about NOW. Focus please.

So was the program good or not?

Or was it only good under the orange oaf?

I just love the way trumpsters twist.
They don’t like the program but love the guy who put it in place and hate the guy who ended it.

So you will give credit to the president who ended the program you don’t like. Good to know.

Heck no. Private property is a thing, even if the commie left hasn't figured it out.

It's all relative to who's doing the socialisting.

Do you think we based presidential votes based solely on the eviction moratorium. No one has twisted anything. My stance on it is clear. It should have never existed to begin with and there is no reason it should continue. Did I stutter?

I can see any further discussion with you is useless. You can't reply unless you can mention Trump rather than discuss the topic.

    Such revisionism is laughable.

Biden did all he could to extend the moratorium, his cdc attempt was ruled illegal by the Supreme Court.

And then the Democrat controlled house ignored it, voted to give themselves a raise, and went home.

Bidens donors are about to make a killing on the upcoming foreclosures.

Yes I will give Biden credit for ending it. However, it doesn't seem he is ending it intentionally but at least it will end.

Did I ever say otherwise? I have stated multiple times in this thread I agree with it ending and you still want to argue.

If you're right then that's the first (FIRST) worthwhile thing that Democrats in Congress have done (or, not done) in a very long time!

Simply put, all people must meet their own obligations, and that certainly includes paying rents, leases, or house payments. No pay, no stay!

Dems control the house and defacto control the senate.

They could have done this any time they wanted.

And lol at "getting back at their landlords".

The left really is about class struggle.

Good. So you will undoubtedly commend Biden for ending the moratorium.

I agree with you, with the exception being last year during the shutdowns(and if we end up having any future shutdowns). When things are shutdown, and especially while trying to keep people from being in confined spaces with other large groups(like they would be in homeless shelters if they lost their housing), these are not normal conditions and normal rules need to be amended, temporarily.

But I agree that it's time for the moratorium to end, and in all honesty it could have ended sooner. There are tons of jobs out there for rising wages and the loss of employment opportunity that we had last year doesn't exist anymore.

His extention was ruled unconstitutional and therefore illegal.

Its his fault for violating the law.

On a side note, the hanitarian crisis at the border, also bidens idea, has kids living under brisdges.

So are you unhappy that the Democrats in the House ignored it? What are you criticizing them for? You didn’t want the moratorium extended, and they didn’t extend it. What are you so angry about?

Well done. At least you aren’t hypocritical like some trumpsters, who don’t like the program and are still upset at Biden - apparently for doing what they wanted him to do.

There was certainly more reason to do so then than now, why should it be continued when we have low unemployment and a glut job openings? These people were receiving government money all along why weren't they using it to pay rent?

Dems control the house, defacto control the senate, and have the Presidency...but this is Mitch Mc Connells fault.

    That is rich.

Why do you have an issue with this? Seems like the old guy did something right for a change.
