It will be Trump/Biden - nothing is going to happen to change that. Thus, this will be the last presidential election as we know it regardless of who wins

I will vote for neither of them. Newsom has been a dismal failure as California Governor. Whitmer and her husband were nasty hypocrites during Covid. I have a fundamental disagreement with the big government equity supporting Democrats who run that party. The Minnesota congressman who is opposing Biden in the primaries has sounded more reasonable, but I heard him on Fox News where he was probably tailoring his message to the audience. He has no chance. If he ran against Trump, there is chance I’d vote for him, but I would need to hear a lot more.
This is a ridiculous statement. First off I'm still not 100% convinced that Joe's health will hold up until election he might need to be replaced last minute or step down. He just claimed he had a conversation with a French president who died in 1996 for crying out loud And as for Trump even if he wins and serves 4 years... The Constitution will allow all the states to remove him from The ballad of any further elections.
Among all the Democrats, you will vote for the person who has a ZERO chance of getting the nomination. I appreciate that how you found justification to vote for Trump over Biden or Newsom or Whitmer. Fact is just like you , millions of Republicans who doesn’t like Trump will find justification and convince themselves that “Trump is better then anyone on Democratic side”. This is why , we DEMS will not pay attention to what republican voter wants or think in DEMS candidate. It doesn’t matter conservative thinks Biden is too old, if Biden was 30 years younger , the same conservatives would say “ Biden is too inexperience to be in WH” ( I remember 2008 Obama campaign).
That is because the Democrat Party, in its present form, offers me nothing. I disagree with its approach toward the economy, the border and energy policy. I am a capitalist who believes in free markets and a limited role for government. The only reason why I could think of supporting the Democrat who has no chance is winning is that he might be a better alternative to Trump. This is not a year when I will get to vote for whom I think is best. I will vote for the candidate who I think will do the least damage. And if Biden were 30 years younger, he still won’t get my vote. He doesn’t have the talent and the intelligence to be president. He proved that in 1988 when he washed out before the Iowa Caucuses.
The best houses near the ocean are well above sea level. Americans who prefer city living should consider San Jose -- its got it all. As you probably know I did not think DJT had a chance of winning, but with progressives, young voters, and now even Muslim voters rejecting Biden Trump just might pull off what should have been his impossible dream. Still extremely unlikely, but you will get through a second Trump presidency. You can hide out here if you can't get over the border wall.
Well the feeling is mutual. Trump or Haley or Chris Christy, it doesn’t matter who is the GOP nominee, I will not vote for them because I disagree with their policy. Now if we had a DNC nominee who says I want to be “dictator for One day” or says if I am POTUS I have total immunity from law to do whatever I want, or I will not accept election result. I would think twice to vote for the guy and convince myself “ well Nikki and I disagree on free market or energy policy, but I know Nikki will not destroy US democracy so I will vote for her this time and leave my fight over free market for another year”. But in your case US energy policy is more important to protect, even if it means “ One day dictator” is doing the protection.
Trump will never get to be a dictator. Every branch of the government, including the military would oppose that. He would loose most of the support he has in the Republican Party.
Trump called Sec of State in GA and asked the Secretary to find him 11K vote, after hearing that call majority republican concluded “nothing to see here” But you want me to believe if Trump want to declare himself dictator , he will be stopped? My question is , why would I want to vote for a man who wants to be dictator?
Also when given a chance to stop him, on multiple different occasions, Republicans have passed. Sure if he went all out dictator and tried to jail political opponents or basically bypass Congress or the Courts I would HOPE the Republicans would stand up to him (and PROBABLY would). But why take that chance? Putting Trump back in the White House means that we would then DEPEND on others to rein him in. Others that have already shown an unwillingness to do that.
Why would I want to vote for a man who is senile and mostly interested in increasing the net worth of his family via bribes paid to his drug addict son? One could say the same for the Clinton family business based on phony charitable foundations? Trump is hot headed and immature, but he earned his money in the private sector. Like I have posted frequently, I don’t care for the Biden vs. Trump choice, but it’s what we are stuck with because of the failures of the presidential primary system.
So when the choice is “senile” and “ a guy who wants to increase his net worth via Government” VS a guy who openly saying “ I want to be dictator” and “I must be above the law when I am POTUS”, you chose the dictator.
Biden has referred to two dead world leaders in the past two days as if they were alive. My mother, who had dementia, told a neurologist that Eisenhower was president in 2005. This should really concern you. I suppose if you are part of the AOC / Squad faction of the Democrat Party, Biden is the ideal president. He doesn’t have enough mind left to formulate policies of his own. The radicals can make the policy anything they want. All they have to do is prevent Biden from falling down again in public. If he says stupid stuff, it’s because “he has had a stammer all of his life.” Of course, when you see tapes of him years ago, there was no stammer. He lifted phrases from other people’s speeches, but he had no trouble with the words. We shall agree to disagree. I don’t want Trump, and I have posted that many times. You should want someone other than Biden, but you accept him nevertheless.

You are 100% right. wow you guys finally read DEMS so well. Gavin Newsom, Gretchen Whitmer or Pete Buttigieg might be hero in Democratic side. But in general election they will be crushed. You are also right , Biden is not lefty, he might “pretend to be lefty”, but his entire life he was a centrist. Majority Americans are centrist and they don’t want extreme left or extreme right in WH. We DEMS understand where majority Americans are. This is why AOC/ Sanders/ Warren will never be DNC nominee. My question is, why don’t you guys understand this simple truth? You or John, what I have seen in your post, you guys are more moderate conservatives. If you actually read my posts you will realize I don't want Trump as the Nominee, I hope he is disqualified or convicted fast enough to get someone else in the position, but I will vote for him if the only choice is Trump vs a Democrat. I read your post many times and I know you don’t want Trump as your nominee. Because you know very well, he will lose. But you will vote for him on general election. You know Trump will not win election 2024, but he will get 45%-47% vote, which will give creditability to MAGA that their policy is right, and they will continue same path. They have no reason to correct course when they see all conservatives support them on election day.
What choice do I have? I left the Democrat Party in 1980 when they made it plain that they had left me. They supported quotas for women and people of color with a special emphasis on women. Now they are throwing women under the bus in favor of transgender males. The Democrats have sealed it of late when they make comments about “White privilege.” To the Democrats, I am a piece of crap because I am White and male. They have said that repeatedly for 50 years. If I voted for the Democrats, it would be the same thing as a Black man or woman voting for a southern state Jim Crow Democrat anytime up the 1970s. The Democrats divide the country for what they think is to their advantage. What they don’t appreciate is that people are not stupid. When you say to hell with people because of their race, gender and sexual orientation, leaving your previous allies behind, you will not hold a coalition together.
I am not advocating that you all who are true conservatives became Democrat. What I am advocating is that true conservative needs to reject MAGA/Trumpism and punish Trumpsipsm by staying home. MAGA has no reason to change their policy when they see conservative like you support them at the end over DEMS. The reason MTG or Matt Gate are nominate as GOP candidate because conservative will vote for GOP over DEMS no matter what ( in some districts this is true for DEMS too). This is why MAGA keep nominating worthless candidate and you guys holding your noise and voting for them. You know the path MAGA is on is not sustainable and they will keep losing election after electing. If you want to fix the GOP, you have to cut of the cancer.
