Feminists don't value motherhood, yet many women like children and want to be mothers. Feminists don't speak for many women.
Hey.....I am a Feminist. It looks like you are thinking about the Feminazi's. Most Feminists just want equal rights for women and you don't have to be a women to be a Feminist. AA
I have only met a single "Feminist" in my entire life....The term is now used to label any woman who does not just bow down before a man. Strong women are not some kind of strange creature to any man who understands and respects them. Likely those who complain about them have very little contact in the first place.
You know I really do not understand why some men are so angered and so afraid of the word Feminist or afraid of women who are feminists. Feminists only want equal rights for women and I have no issue with that. Besides...REAL MEN....don't worry about such things. We are more concerned with such things as.... #1. How much beer is left? #2. What time does that Pizza joint stop delivering? #3. Did I remember to buy another bottle of Whiskey? #4. How many games is my Team up? #5. Where the F@#K did I put the K-Y? #6. Where the F@#K did the Baby Oil go? #7. Girls....don't forget I have another basket of laundry in the Master Bedroom bathroom. #8. Girls....that bathroom could use some cleaning as well. #9. Who do I replace Tom Brady with in the first 4 games of my Fantasy League. #10. Girls....I need a bath. AA
Afraid? What do you mean, "afraid"? I have huge problems with their theories and their nethods fir reaching rheir bibbidi bobbidi boo-Utopia.
Some guy's are so riled up and yes...FEAR what they think feminist ideology will do for their outlook on society. I personally don't see a problem. AA
Well, side A always "fears" side B's ideas and vice versa. This is not by any means emblematic for only "Anti-Fems" but for all ideologists. I See many problems with Feminism, but to each their own, I guess.
Well I always agree to disagree!! Don't get me wrong....I do see problems with extreme feminism....just as I see problems with extreme masculine positions and although I am the end all to end all Alpha Male.....I love women and don't like to see them be subjugated as if they were little more than second class citizens as I feel Subjugation is something best left in the bedroom!! LOL!! AA
Are there? I am not so sure. Women on average make 77 cents on the dollar, but fewer of them work. Also, if you could pay women less than men, the only people companies would hire are women because they could pay them less. So I'm not so sure that any woman earns less than any man for doing the same job. - - - Updated - - - Do they not get equal pay? Who says they don't?
You see, I think the problem here is that people are using entirely different definitions for feminist. It's much like talking about "If a tree falls in the forest, and there's nobody around, does it make a sound?" People can argue for hours over it, when in reality one of them is saying "No" because they define sound as an auditory experience by a living being, and another is saying "Yes" because they define a sound as a sound wave. One group is saying that feminists are bad, when they define feminists as screeching harpies making much ado about something that isn't a problem. Another is saying that feminists are good, because they define feminists are people that want equality for women, and pretty much everyone does that nowadays, so it isn't really arguable. Thus, when people argue the merits of feminism, they're essentially arguing definitions, which is a useless excercise. They have completely different ideas of what feminism is, so they just end up talking over each other, instead of being productive. Do women make less than men? That's debatable. Are women held to a different standard than men? Absolutely. People value passive values in women, and active values in men; they consider being sweet, or pretty, to be inherent improvements on the character of a woman, while we generally define the 'value' of a man by his actions; a 'nice guy' is often used as an insult. We also have different expectations for personality; if a man and a woman are given identical scripts and told to act obnoxious, the woman is consistently considered more obnoxious, in spite of doing the exact same thing. People constantly talk about Hillary Clinton being unattractive, as if that makes her inherently less 'good', while Trump being unattractive is not, generally, considered a defining trait. You hear about "Hillary [Female Dog]", and I've heard the word cankles entirely too often. You don't hear about protesters talking about the 'Trump Bastard'. So, are there inequalities? Yes, there are. Is anything productive going to happen by debating definitions? No, there isn't.
It depends on the industry, but yes, in many industries, even when occupying similar positions, they get lower pay than men.
I'm going to give away a secret:You don't pick the woman:The woman picks you. They have all the power.
