    As I said earlier, I wasn't up on this story, but I found this article.. sounds like there were problems well before the Aussies bought American

    French officials in return were likewise said to be surprised that Australian officials expected meetings to begin on time, citing a French phenomenon known as a "diplomatic 15 minutes" whereby people were considered to be on time as long as they arrived within 15 minutes of the start time.

    It's about more than just the money. France feels their allies stabbed them in the back. Not sure what Biden can do to remedy that.

    We warned the French a few months back. Our prime minister warned the French prime minister that we might pull out, due to various reasons.

    Gotta wonder if the US gave any heads up. Biden seems to have the reputation for not communicating well.

    Probably since Australia did sign a contract. Not sure how much Australia will owe France if they lose a court case. Apparently it's worth it to Australia plus they will get nuclear power subs instead.
