    Maybe not for Australia but it certainly is for the US and our interest in the China Sea. And I don't believe for one minute your government wants nuclear subs just to protect fishing laws. I imagine your navy has encountered maritime incidents with China and they are probably increasing every year?

    What are the multi purposes? Better yet, show me a single aircraft in the world that cannot be designated as multi-purpose...

    I'm sure it has some deep dark military meaning, but it sounds a little silly on the surface...
