It appears a few are really, really, struggling with this. To those, I would continue to recommend they stay locked up and let this thing kill everyone else on earth. Then you can come up from wherever you were hiding, go outside and have fun again.

yes, infections were never to be reduced by distancing.
The area under the curve might actually grow.

they should enjoy no goods or services provided by "essential workers" while they are in their homes. And they should never leave their homes for any reason.
Too Risky, not only to them, but to the rest of us as well.

Why should essential worker risk exposure, in the big scary world, just to provide the distancers with "essential" goods and services?

Good point, and after the thousands of posts they have made on the same subject repeating themselves over and over, I would consider a new keyboard could be considered "essential goods".

Didn't "completely forget". Cutting off Europe was a MUCH tougher call. Same as it was for other Western nations. So, if it was up to you, ALL Americans stranded in Europe were just SOL?

Disagree. He "hoped" the event might come and go (as did other leaders) and remained optimistic. Imagine if we had had a fear mongering leader like that terrorist running MI.

Disagree: Unfortunately numerous left overs from the Obama administration ambushed his responses.

The Obama administration failed to set any foundation for a pandemic response. And...unfortunately numerous left overs from the Obama administration ambushed his responses..

When is this pandemic arriving? (hint: what we have now is media fear mongering. I had the virus. Wasn't as bad as the flu I had several years ago.

Would you prefer China benefit from this hoax while the US pays for it?
Thank God Trumps stellar economy lifted the US into territory that can buffer all these natural occurrences (and man made hoaxes)

Wrong again. I only dismissed the untruths. I couldn't care less if Trump was president if someone else who cared as much for America first was in power.
If we get Biden, we will essentially become a subservient Chinese province.
    CHINA WANTS BIDEN.

You need to be careful just looking at cases anymore.
Percent positive is a better measure now.
Georgia tested 4 times as many yesterday.

Positive rate simply means more were tested.
I had this virus. Big deal. All but ignored it. Some will die of the regular flue every year.
The Death rate would be a better metric if comorbidity was eliminated.

No. It means the number that were tested that tested positive.
I know you don't care about slowing it down, but those that do, want an early indicator of what is working and what is not. Death is a lagging indicator.

I spent a couple hours at our newly opened beach today, (ty desantis) distancing wasnt even close to an issue with all the hotels shut down, lots of space.

As far as cases are concerned, I expect big jumps, were starting some sizable new free testing centers around our area, no symptoms needed.

Just wait until the 14 day period goes by and lets see how many get infected and pass it along to others both in and out of state. They say you can beat a donkey with a baseball bat and it still won't learn; I think it applies in this case.

Sure you did. It's almost impossible to get a test unless you are VERY sick...which you claim you weren't

That chart doesn't show increased testing...it only shows increased positives

We are not going to decrease infections.
    That's not what distancing does.
The hospitals will not be overwhelmed from here on out. Who ever is gonna die, is gonna die.
    You cant stop that.

Listen, we are going to get new corona viruses every year.
You people that want to end civilization over it are just plain nuts.

99.9996666% of people with COVID19 never even know they were infected.
    This is stupidity beyond comparison.

I had it. For me and MOST PEOPLE it's a nothing burger.
A FEW will die, mostly of preexisting complications not related to the virus.
We regret those deaths but it's life. I will die one day. I'm over it.

Closing down was never meant to decrease the number of infections. It was to spread them out. They are going to happen.
There is no amount of quivering in your home that will stop that.

I wasn't very sick from COVID19. `But I had to be tested due to similar symptoms.

    You probably had it.
it's getting harder to find people who have not.
99.99996666% will have no problem at all.

This is not the life altering pandemic the left needs people to believe it is to try to ruin the economy.

Mostly those who were gonna die anyway, and were waiting for the next insult to tip them over the edge.

I wonder how many dozen times I have to ask for evidence of this claim for someone to actually back it up with facts.

You will not decrease the number being infected, period, end of story, accept the reality.
The hospitals are not and will not be overwhelmed, the only goal of shutdowns.
