Georgia prosecutors say all 16 fake Trump electors are targets in criminal probe

    “The Atlanta-area prosecutors scrutinizing former President Donald Trump's attempts to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia said Tuesday that all 16 of the "fake electors" who participated in a plan to subvert the Electoral College are now targets of an ongoing criminal investigation.

    Court documents filed late Tuesday reveal Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has informed all 16 of the individuals who signed an "unofficial electoral certificate" that was ultimately sent to the National Archives in late 2020 they may be indicted in the probe.”

    The law finally seems to be catching up to the criminals who tried to overturn the results of the 2020 election. About time, and I hope they follow the trail all the way to the top. These people didn’t come up with this scheme on their own.

    And, "it is so UNFAIR! We need reform now!" in 3...2...

    What about the disparities in the justice system in which people of color get fewer second changes, higher fines, longer and harsher sentences and fewer pardons?

    "Well, systemic racism doesn't exist. They all get fair trials."

    Why weren't the faithless electors in 2016 prosecuted? I guess that was "different".

    I thought they would never give up on Jnr Bush and yet talk to them now it is “junior who” - never liked him didn’t vote for him

    Explain it to me. How is it the same when the “faithless” electors are still those chosen legally by the state whilst these people were not

    I wasn't paying attention to politics at that time but I see it here every single day.

    <Whatever you call them> sided with the criminals at the Capitol riot but flipped back to praise the cops in Uvalde (some even excused their inaction with "they were scared". Yeah, well, that's what police officers are for. We are all scared going into volatile and hostile situations but that's the job description <smh>) and break open champagne when they are killing black and brown people with far less provocation.

    They lose their minds about masks and vaccines and 2A but want to have control over a woman's womb and who can marry who. [But extramarital affairs, hookers "secret" abortions and outside babies are cool].

    They claim systemic bigotry doesn't exist while demanding, violently in some cases, that Trump, Bannon, etc. get special treatment. The argument, itself, proves systemic bigotry.

    I've given up on them at this point. I never considered anyone to be "unredeemable" until the Capitol riot. I won't forgive anyone that makes apologies for that and continues to try to beat us over the head like Trump is an angel fallen from heaven to bestow his grace upon the world. /smdh Plus, Jr. didn't have anybody interested. The Orange Stain's demon seeds are eyeing a dynasty once he finishes dismantling our Constitution and declares himself Dear Leader for life.

    The electors in question would have be legitimate had Trump's law suit succeeded.

    Thomas Dewey would have been president over Truman if he had gotten more Electoral College votes....

    Then Georgia should have followed what Penn and NM did and make their certification CONDITIONAL on that near impossible situation happening....

    Funny that seven states followed this unethical plan, yet only 2 decided to add the conditional language that will likely avoid it becoming illegal ...

    So true.... the question is, who were the T**** campaign contacts with Rudy in each state... As with all thing around the failed plan to overturn the election, there are levels of criminality here.... The mere signers are level 1, state level contacts/signers are level 2, T**** campaign planners are level 3....

    David Shafer seems to be the level 2 contact in Georgia, by his own admission...

    Dunno at the state level.... I've researched the Georgia statutes for what in play for the T**** phone call, but not the state level statutes for the fake electors... I assume it'll be something similar to this federal statute (which is still in play, BTW)

    I suspect Senator Warnock isn't worried in the least, with the criminally stupid candidate he is facing...

    But only time will tell if there are Georgia indictments before the midterm. Since one of the targets is the candidate for Lt. Governor, I think the news of an indictment there is much better announced before the election than after...
