    If they sent fake electors, then that's election fraud, plain and simple. You can call it a witch hunt if you like, but it sounds weak after 50 bogus court cases trying to prove non-existing fraud.

    nah. This is an investigation into people who fraudulently tried to reverse the outcome of a free, fair and certified election.
    If that amounted to criminal conduct, why shouldn’t it be investigated?

    They did not send "fake" electors. They had alternate electors ready in case the phony election results were overturned. The phony ballots counted....there's your fraud.

    It's so bad that even THIS Congress can have a bi-partisan bill in place (almost) to prevent this fake elector shitshow again. I hope there are better, more obvious, and IMMEDIATE penalties going forward.

    "We define who is the official at the state level for submitting the slate and that is the governor, unless the state law or state Constitution indicates otherwise," Collins told reporters Tuesday, adding that the state "would not be able to change who submits the change (to Congress) after the election."

    "Congress could not accept a slate submitted by a different official. This reform would address the potential for multiple state officials to send Congress competing slates," the release states.

    Oh I dunno - maybe signing their names as Electors and submitting the signed documents to the National Archives even though they were not actually certified by their state.
    And they were not submitted provisionally, in case a lawsuit succeeded and the other Electirs were dismissed. They claimed they were the actual, legitimate certified Electors. They weren’t. There’s your fraud.
