Nope. I only spoke to how the grandfather clause has worked in my state. I never made any claim about any other grandfather clause in any other state. Carry on.
So then, what is your solution. The problem is certainly there and it is OUR problem. None of this is happening anywhere else in the world to the levels that it is happening here. You criticize the OP but do not offer any solutions. Doing nothing will not reduce the problem.
Are we the only free country in the world. This is not happening to this extent anywhere else? You want to see this amount of killing continue?
I suggested something to do. Back when we had less shootings we also had less restriction on guns, and more gun classes and gun extra curricular activities in schools. Why not go back to what used to work?
Your solution is not doable. It is a fantasy. How do you actually suggest that Blacks stop killing and bring it down to the tune of the Whites?
If you are going to make a point, then show data and links that prove your point. Words and your beliefs is not enough.
Ridiculous reply. How many guns were not used to kill someone? The dead are dead. Reduce the number means have less killings occur per day than before. Your replies seem to be a desire to argue rather than a desire to find an actual solution to the facts given in the OP.
Ad hominem personal attacks are not very effective and they are against the rules here. In fact, it is virtually illegal for the general public to carry concealed handguns in most of our crime ridden urban hell holes. Are you aware of that fact?
The problem of gun violence in this country if far more complex than any solution that can be offered in simple comments on a discussion board. The complexity of the issue make it such that there is no single measure that can offer meaningful results. The simplistic knee jerk and feel good measures offered will not result in desired outcomes. Then you must ask if society does really wants to even address the issue. Consider this as a reality check. In light of the recent shootings in Florida and Texas, what did the lawmakers in those states do or even indicated that they wanted to do. In short NOTHING. Now consider the elections in those states and ask, why did the people re-elect any of those lawmakers if they wanted change and did not get it?
You really think more gun classes would stop mass shootings? Do you not understand the level of messed up in the head a person has to be to commit a mass shooting? No offense but it seems you don’t. Hint…a few extra gun classes wouldn’t do crap. These people needed a lot of mental health therapy and even that might not have worked. These shooters are F’d in the head to the level we can’t comprehend.
Who is being disarmed? Have you had all your guns taken away? I know I still have all mine. What state are you in where the govt is taking away all your guns?
Can the general public legally carry concealed handguns in our DP ruled crime ridden urban hell holes? Answer: No they cannot. They must depend on arms professional police to keep the peace. The people are disarmed by law in high crime zones.
Because a vast proportion of gun suicides are “spur of the moment” Now why am I wasting my time telling you this when I provided multiple links
Moving the goalposts I see. You originally made a claim people are being disarmed. To disarm is to take a weapon away from someone. No one is being disarmed.
Oooh! Look! A misleading graph! Thing is - total numbers of guns does not equal total number of gun owners
Your criticism is understandable, but I don't think it is really fair. Apparently in the U.S. it's easier to estimate number of guns than number of gun owners. There would be no reason to expect the number of guns per gun owner has been increasing over that time. The graph alleges to show guns per individual in the overall population, not number of guns per gun owner. But to be fair, I did find this that may help your side: "The unpublished Harvard/Northeastern survey result summary, obtained exclusively by the Guardian and the Trace, estimates that America's gun stock has increased by 70m guns since 1994. At the same time, the percentage of Americans who own guns decreased slightly from 25% to 22%." Of course it may likely be that more of the gun owners do not feel comfortable answering the question in the surveys.
"Besides demographic differences, clear partisan divides emerge when it comes to gun ownership. Republicans and Republican-leaning independents are more than twice as likely as Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents to say they own a gun (44% vs. 20%). This partisan gap remains even after controlling for demographic differences." source: The demographics of gun ownership in the U.S. | Pew Research Center
Gun control is predicated on the assumption that a woman, raped and strangled with her pantyhose is preferable to that same woman explaining to a Police Officer how that hole got into the head of the guy that attempted to rape her.
wait, you plan here involves giving black people MORE free **** and hope they suddenly stop committing crime and murder? And some cocoa to make them less angry? Brilliant. Thanks for not taking this seriously it’s worth the laugh.
Only morons can be as judgemental, megalomaniacal, and conceited as to call any other posters... "moronic".
