IMO, pedophiles & homosexuals are in the same boat, neither chose what turns them on. I feel what consenting adults do in private is none of my business, but I don't feel that way about minors. Children need protection, adults need privacy.

 

So even if we agree that Pedophile is inborn that does not mean that we can not morally punished those who act on those desires and by doing so harm children.

There is no slippery slope with gay sex between two or more adults as that is no one business but those adults. Such had indeed been found to be a private matter by the courts.

When however you have children involved then there is no such shield of privately in or out of the bedroom.

To sum up sex that you do not find in your opinion to be natural or moral as long as it is between consenting adults is non of your or anyone else business and it have nothing to do with sex with children of any kind.
