Many things Hitler did until 1938 headed in the right direction.

 

Everything he did until 1938 was going to be paid for by the wars of 1939 onwards. You can't have one without the other.

He borrowed massive amounts of money in the 1930s. How was he going to cover that? Conquest.

 

That is sort of like saying that the driver was headed in the right direction up until the moment the drinking caught up with him and he drove off the bridge.

 

Why that?

Many things headed into the right direction. The problem is the Fuhrer state as such, which simply does not work.

Laws to the protection of the purity of the native population, eugenics and an active policy to have political influence on the landscape of the ethnicity of the population is very positive. He went too far when it came to discriminating groups of the population unteil then already, from 1939 it was clear that his plans included even genocide.

Nevertheless I agree with eugenics, a modest form of race separation and that politics have to be for the benefit of the native population.

Compared to other nations our debts is so little, chicken (*)(*)(*)(*) and the Himalaya spring to my mind.

At least they didn't sell off all our assets, Greek style, like the current mob.

That's false reasoning. Because someone else is worse doesn't mean you are good. Only a fool looks to the worst performers and declares they are fine because others are worse. Lets have a look at a better performer;
Australia - population 23.5 million, debt $18,110 per person
Tiawan - population 23.5 million, debt $8,968 per person and they have no natural resources
So are we good compared to Tiawan? In my opinion we are on the point of no return now, it is unlikely we will ever be able to pay off the present public debt.We will be paying billions in interest and principle payments every year to foreign money lenders for ever more. That's billions that won't be spent in Australia on things like health, education, roads and law enforcement. Billions of dollars that won't get put into infrastructure, billions just thrown down the toilet every year. And what's worse is the fact that we never got anything for all the borrowings! Labor were using their credit card to buy the groceries while they drank and gambled their pay packet!

IMHO this country will continue to go down the gurgler whilst ever we have people like you here. For once in your life look at the big picture, not just the imediate affect on your wallet but the LONG TERM FUTURE of the country, if for noone else then our grand children. We still have one of the smallest public debts, as a % of GDP, in the world. Not just slightly smaller than other Western nations, but a lot smaller. In fact, our public debt as a % of GDP is about HALF that of the world average.
