First of all, you have to ignore Fox News. Second, you also have to ignore ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, Wapo, the NYT, and several others. Even when they tell the truth it is with a bias and is unfair.

 

And those are the questions asked in regards to the investigations that should follow the report of a crime.
The whole situation is out of hand. IF we are to remain a nation of law and order, no election fraud should be tolerated by either side, nor should reports of it it be brushed off... and the process should be one subject to reasonable controls and proof of identity as the first step in assuring it remains legitimate. We have people right now trying to imply that asking for identification is "harassment" .\.
Pretty clear that there are those willing to influence election results by any means they can use.

I think it's a vocal minority. I live in lefty land, where no R stands a chance in the now clearly red state. They stopped talking about Trump for the most part. There is that one friend I have, and we don't talk much anymore, who is obsessed. Most of my lefty friends are just glad he's gone. Also, almost none of my lefty friends support these ridiculous policies. They love the 1st and 2nd. They think it's ridiculous that some in our community are demanding that the "right" pronoun be used. For those who didn't know there was a different pronoun than appearances, there can be immediate chastisement. Again, though, they are in the minority. A very vocal minority.

We are actively looking for a way to break through the nonsense and get these people back to something resembling a sane solution to this silly pronoun issue.

None of my friends support forced vaccinations. Most of them want the planet cleaned up, warming trend or not. They do not support any carbon swap credits. Most of them support nuclear.

The D team isn't in lock step with their fringe anymore than team R is in lock step with their fringe.

They are not. Even baseless claims of fraud by losers are subject to judicial appeal - in the case of the 2020 presidential election, several dozen where they were adjudicated and dismissed as being frivolous and without merit.

There are laws on the books that specify punishment for any individual who tries to cast a fraudulent vote for whatever he thinks it's worth. I have seen no evidence that such laws are not being enforced.

You're not the only one with this opinion so my post is directed to you alone but...............(there's always a but) if Covid did nothing else it proved the fact that taken as a whole......people are idiots. How many people didn't take the vaccine because they "did their own research".......and were wrong. They would research until they found the answer they wanted. I believe the same with news. Truth, as always, is elusive and facts just don't matter any more.

~ I believe that today we have to be information detectives — like old school reporters used to do. Fortunately we have many sources. Personally I go to the independent journalists. I stay away from network news ( yes - this includes FOX ) , " official" USA government reports and the "mainstream" media.
I look back 2 years to see if the source I am using is dependable. As soon as I see fake and exaggeration I don't go back.
We can stay ignorant , or become informed. What we choose is a matter of our own free will.

There have been a lot of people providing that kind of evidence- but of course like so many things these days people choose different labels for the same thing. many no longer know the difference between male and female; stand to reason they don't recognize a difference between truth and fiction, what matters, what does not. We used to call that situational ethics, but that was more intentional many of the people like tht today actually believe the BS as real.

 

No, I don't think that at all. I don't think CNN (for example) actually WANTS to push any agenda but feel the need of having to to counteract the blight that is Fox.
I also don't believe that "eventually they have to make money". That's the kind of thinking that has gotten us to the point we are at now. News organizations are just a part of much larger organizations. If there is to truly be "freedom of the press" then the worshiping of the almighty dollar has to be put aside.......like it used to be.

 

I do get the majority of info from non corporate sources.
