Hunter Biden indicted on federal gun charges

The indictment against the president's son comes after a plea agreement on tax and gun charges fell apart in July and amid a probe of his finances by House Republicans.

Federal prosecutors have indicted Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, on gun charges, court documents show.

Biden was indicted in Delaware federal court on three counts tied to the possession of a gun while using narcotics.


Two counts are tied to Biden allegedly filing a form claiming that he was not using illegal drugs at the time he purchased a Colt Cobra revolver in October 2018. The third count alleges that he possessed a firearm while using a narcotic.

The historic indictment against the son of a sitting president comes after a plea deal that might have ended a years-long probe into Hunter Biden fell apart and just as House Republicans have launched an impeachment inquiry in an effort to seek bank records and other documents from the president and his son....

At best: Another Diversion agreement...
At worst: Should be a Plea bargain resulting in Fine and Probation...
IF the prosecutors want some "token jail time" it would be something like 30 days in Club Fed (which Hunter could do standing on his head)...

Thank goodness for Judge Maryellen Noreika for bitch slapping the last diversion agreement that would have made Hunter impervious to future prosecutions. Sending another diversion agreement like that will only make them look ridiculous.

Wonder why they are not taking the video from the laptop of him brandishing his gun with his hooker and prosecuting him for that. Wonder if the DOJ is still prohibiting them from accessing the laptop material.

Am I assuming correctly that Hunter fessed up to being on drugs when he ditched the gun?
In his book or interview?
Is one being a known-self-admitted drug user enough to indict on if one has no proof that the person was under the influense when ditiching a firearm?

At the very least the local jail would be quite disrupting to Hunter's high end life style, not so so much a federal one..

 

In a local jail, he would be held away from other prisoners for his own protection...
But, since charges are Federal...it would be Fed Prison...

That to me deserves to be prosecuted for, especially because a kid could find it.

Biden can pardon him during this term and claim Hunter's being politically persecuted/prosecuted.

Actually... I'll bet a $1 that he does end up stepping down. When you start seeing CNN affirming McCarthy's investigation findings and WaPo's Ignatius, telling Biden to not run... Then yeah, I see him eventually fading into obscurity. He's Democrats largest liability and I know they are more than willing to eat their own to ensure they hold power.

 

Right now the big guy is probably thinking he had the wrong prosecutor fired.

The thing is, there is no way Hunter could not be prosecuted after all the crimes we know he committed and after we know he had tax crimes where the government let the statute of limitations expire. If Hunter got entirely off the hook, then what's obvious to all of us would have become even more obvious.

What amazes me the most about Hunter Biden is that, with all that's know about his disgusting and perverted life, he found someone to marry him.

 

As former US Attorney Andrew McCarthy just discussed the first diversion agreement was outside the federal rules for diversion agreements. Those are meant for people who lie on a form and get caught before they take possession of a weapon. Once you take possession you have ramped it WAY UP the totem pole and there is clear evidence he BRANDISHED the weapon and that disqualifies it from a diversion agreement and requires a sentence.

So are you saying you do not support strict guns laws that require registration and permitting?
