    He won’t serve any real time. He is a family member of a democrat. This is all for show. Nothing but an attempt to build trust in a very clearly corrupt system by attempting (and failing) to show impartiality.

    As I've been reading, hasn't the SCOTUS already ruled that forms like the one Hunter lied on are essentially not required?

    There is no requirement for this non-violent gun offender should be in jail... but this really doesn't move the needle in either direction for me.. He's sort of a ****up ATEOTD...

    All you need to do is produce a holding from the USSC which says forms like the one Hunter lied on are essentially not required.

    -I- know there are no such ruling, so -I- know the answer is "No".

    That was not what I asked. I don't believe what he did should be a crime in the first place. Society is no better off with him in prison. (Hookers and his drug dealer are worse off as well!)

    ?????? They let the statute of limitations pass for almost all of his crimes. What persecution? They are filing this gun charge because the Statute of limitations on the gun charges is about to pass. Doing something because doing nothing is beginning to look bad.
