I'm assuming the food stamps are primarily for her children, whom technically are US citizens.

Although I am not particularly happy with that law, you don't get to pick and choose which laws you follow or not.

I would be happy with changing the law to make it so at least one of the parents has to be an actual american citizen in order for the children to be citizens.

Anything that increases the Liberal voting block is A.O.K. with our resident liberals here? Hope not, but from past conversations, it apparently is VERY acceptable. Please can someone defend this? Defend how this was the intention of the anchor baby law. Why NOT have as many children as you can when each kid is another pay check and guarantees that you stay in the country? Compared to their former way in life, collecting money and sitting at home is much better. We are REWARDING these people and the country is getting nothing in return. How many poor, ILLEGAL immigrants have invented a cure for cancer or new technology we can't live without?

An easy fix is to abolish the law. US citizenship is only guaranteed if at least one parent is a citizen and custody is ONLY granted to that parent until the other becomes a citizen. Make it retroactive to 5 years and start the deportation process, assuming our borders are shut tight NOW. There is NOTHING unfair about the law, since anyone jumping the border is ALREADY a criminal including kids. All those who purposely got pregnant did it to themselves. Not our problem. We can't AFFORD them.

 

No, that would be the sort of venal scum America seems expert in producing-thieving medical insurance companies, corporate fraudsters and millionaires who prefer another country benefitted from their wealth. Those are true parasites, and they're stealing your money. But I'd hazard a guess that most of them are white conservatives, and therefore immune from criticism.
