Their killing of civilians was not justified, as killing civilians never is. But their struggle against the tyranny of Israel is certainly justified. The people on the campuses support the struggle against Israel, not the killing of civilians. Big difference.

 

As you just stated killing of civilians is what this struggle is about. "Killing of civilians" seem to be the convention within the left to call outright murders and massacres, as if construction workers were accidentally killed by safety violations or something like that. Their struggle against occupation is nothing but the murder of civilians.

This admission of the Israeli army of this great failure shows the big difference between information supplied by Hamas and by Israel.
Why Israeli Army admitted this failure? Because the Israeli Army knew that if they lie that kidnapped Israelis where killed by Hamas, there was a good chance any soldier could tell the truth and continue to live, people of Gaza have no such option - to tell that Hamas lying.
