if you think guns and bullets have not advanced since the time of our founders, not sure what to say that would convince you they have
I made no claims, I said most likely it will happen, tell you what, you keep watching my posts and when it happens, I will point it out to you
Firearms haven't changed much. Little things like caliber and rifling, but largely the same. Do you consider a scoped rifle to be more advanced than one without a scope?
would it have made a difference if he used an FS2000 So nobody can kill people with a revolver? If he tries it'll result in Biden getting bitch slapped by the supreme court again Good. The bizarre worry that people be shot scary scary bang bangs (so called assault weapons) while ignoring people being shot by revolvers should not be psychosis adopted by the legislature.
Yeah it does. Cartridge ammo dates back to the 15th century. The only real development there is materials they don't effect deadliness, just resistance to water damage. And a semi-auto dates back to 1885. So there's not a lot of advance in the last 150 years
Back in the 15th century when guns were invented they shot little balls of lead that's still what they shoot now maybe you could consider a shotgun of development but that's just a bunch of little balls lead. Now if you're talking about a bullet with a casing the powder inside that's a cartridge and those were invented in the late 15th early 16th century. Sure they were made out of paper but they were still cartridges they still function the same way. I use plenty today that are made out of plastic. The only other change I can think of is centerfire that doesn't make a huge difference. And smokeless powder and that doesn't make a huge difference at least not in the functionality. What do you think has changed?
A common myth is that they only had single shot muskets when the time the second amendment was written. This is not true. There were multiple repeating arms at the time the second was written
doesn't matter, doesn't change any of what I said, if laser guns become a real thing, should they be legal
so you can't show how they advanced or even that they did. The way you would determine whether or not a gun should be legal is very easy and it has been the method since about 1791. Is it used for a legal purpose? We have lasers now they're not considered fire arms.
so you can't answer the question I asked, should a laser gun that someone can pull the trigger and spin in a circle and harm everyone around them be banned
I'd rather have a Romulan Disruptor pistol -- no incriminating 'evidence' left behind! ... but it would take down the 'grid' to charge the batteries....
Doesn't matter. The design has been fairly stagnant since the early 20th century. Optics have certainly changed. These are all still protected by the Second Amendment.
