Think to yourself before you post something ridiculous.

Does a turret on your vehicle serve a lawful purpose and is it common?

Depends on the purpose. If people own them for lawful purposes there's no argument here they are absolutely protected by the second amendment.

Revolvers are used in mass murders. Double barrel shotguns have been used in mass murders. Why is mass murder use your criteria for banning?

But but what about Trump? Lol.

Someone was trotting out the tired old liberal myth that only single shot muskets existed at the time the second amendment was written. Aside from being completely ignorant and untrue... We could actually truly say that there was no internet or radio or television at the time the first amendment was written so does that mean that the first amendment should only apply to the spoken and the written word?

Occasionally people take cars and point them at crowds of people and mash the accelerator but you don't hear anyone wanting to ban cars do you?

The intent of talking about future infinite range light sabers is painfully obvious.

There are two laser weapons that have been fully developed by the military and are ready to go, its just that funding for production has never been high enough on the priority list to be approved.

The first is called "Stingray". It scans with a low energy, wide beam. When the reflection from an eyeball occurs (like you may have seen with "a deer in the headlights"), the beam is focused down into a smaller, more powerful beam which can boil the fluid within the eyeball, blinding your enemy.

The second is called CCLAW (Close Combat Laser Assault Weapon). CCLAW operates in much the same way, only is vehicular mounted and has more power. It has the strength to score the optics on an enemy tank, a rifle scope, etc.

No. Like I described, Stingray blinds you by boiling the fluid in the eyeball. CCLAW scores the optics of your weapon system, making them essentially opaque and useless. There are various lasers on the battlefield that are not primarily weapons but can blind a person due to their power. The NdYAG laser in an Apache TADS (Target Acquisition Designation System) is not eye safe. Neither is the CO2 laser on the Avenger vehicle.

They should just make a law that says no fun allowed!

I don't think 99% of them have ever shot a gun or they would understand that it's actually fun. Kind of like driving a car faster than you're supposed to. But of course there's a time and place for both

As much as you bring Trump into anything I'm sure you can find an angle.

So do you think that the first amendment should only apply to the written and the spoken word?

lets expand that-using his logic, wiretaps and electronic surveillance is not prohibited by the fourth since that didn't exist in the 18th century. and the government can force confessions with electric shocks or other forms of torture that were not invented back then either

you see how much of a distraction it is when you bring up the bad orange man when he doesn't have Jack all to do with the topic? Lol.

You're dodging the question and trying to change the subject.

If you like so many liberals tend to believe... Think the second amendment only applies to single shot muskets, then surely the first amendment only applies to the written and spoken word because the founding fathers had no idea about TV and internet and radio in those days.

I bring him up when there is a valid comparison, such as his saying he will take the guns first, due process second

as a serious gun rights advocate who has been at this issue for close to 50 years, I have come to believe, that almost every avid anti gun poster, politician or activist, is mainly motivated by politics rather than understanding firearms, firearms laws or criminology. If they see gun owners or pro gun groups as opposing the policies and politicians they like, they start uttering anti gun views. National Review noted in an influential article several years ago, the NRA is perceived as being a totem for white christian middle class conservative males and every political movement that sees this group as a political enemy almost invariably adopts gun control as a weapon against this group they hate. ˆ

Very well spoken and most of the anti-gun types have not a clue about what they're even talking about. Just look at some liberal politicians trying to explain guns.... As you already know they are good for entertainment but not much else. They certainly don't have a clue about the topic they're trying to take away from everyone

    what becomes obvious is this

an anti gun poster, politician, talking head or "community activist" starts whining about guns. a pro gun advocate challenges them and they start trying to talk about crime, or deterring criminals and that facade quickly melts away because their motivations for wanting to ban guns is not based on crime control but as a political weapon. That is why their arguments based on the facade are often infantile and factually bankrupt.

Years ago, a close college friend was a major league RW operative who was one of the founders of the influential Federalist Society was talking about trying to ban abortion. and i noted that this person was a non-observant Jew and I further questioned this person's views on the subject. the person noted that religion or lack thereof had nothing to do with the position-rather-by attacking abortion, that would keep the left-especially the "feminazi"movement would have to defend abortion rather than push for other socialist issues

the gun control movement will never have the same mirror image honesty but that is what is going on
