Ford met with Congresswoman Eshoo on July 20 . Eshoo then hand delivered the letter to Feinstein. Kavenaugh was nominated July 9th. You don’t find the timing just a little suspect?

I don’t think people hate her. I think they just don’t believe her.

If you are accusing someone of such a heinous act, you better have more than your ahha moment in therapy where you discovered SOMEONE sexually assaulted you over 30years ago. Fast forward 12 years and someone you knew in high school, who you may, or may not have partied with, is on the verge of sitting on the SCOTUS. Now, you vehemently oppose this guys ideology, you hate the guy who nominated him and you and your team are political activists and very vocal/active in the resistance of the current administration. THIS is when you have your epiphany that it was definitely Bret Kavenaugh? I don’t know Mr. Starkey, sounds a bit contrived to me.

The poll question is mixing 2 separate questions, the answer to one "yes" the answer to the second "I don't know." So I can't vote. Why did you mix the questions?

Suspect of what? If anything, it's not Ford, it's Feinstein who, as you just noted, was given the letter months ago.

Read the threads. Why do you think she has police protection against death threats? Why are her children being guarded?

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...-threats-reporting-sexual-assault/1355798002/
Christine Blasey Ford, the woman accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault has received death threats, harassment and even been forced out of her home and away from her children since coming forward, her lawyers said.

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...t-kavanaugh-christine-blasey-ford/1371995002/
"As you are aware, she has been receiving death threats, which have been reported to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and she and her family have been forced out of their home," Ford's attorney, Debra Katz, wrote in an email obtained by USA TODAY. "She wishes to testify, provided that we can agree on terms that are fair and which ensure her safety."

Yes Feinstein was given the letter in July and sat on it. The same month Ford decided it was Kavenaugh who assaulted her and the same month he was nominated. Don’t you find that odd? Twelve years you didn’t know who it was and your memory and his nomination just happen to coincide? Of course Feinstein sat on it. If I were her, I’d do the same thing. Spring it the last minute to stop the presses.

Now all that said, I truly am looking forward to hearing from both of them. So far my money is on him but If Ford has hard evidence that he is the one, then he should not be confirmed. I’m not afraid to say I’m wrong.

Mrs. b.'s description is not quite accurate, imo.

Yes, Mrs. Ford is getting death threats, and they are not from libs.

I agree with Mrs. b's conclusion. We should remember that this is not a court room hearing but it is being heard in the court of public opinion.

The Kavenaughs have also been receiving death threats.

Are you saying Ford, her husband and therapist fabricated their 2012 sessions? How deep and wide does this conspiracy go, in your opinion?

Obviously this has bothered Ford for some time....and I think she's a bit flakey for letter an incident from 35 years ago drive her life. Still, when Kavanaugh's name came up in the news as a SCOTUS nominee, it fits that she'd bitch about it. Why do you think that is so mysterious?

Ford has no evidence. No semen-stained swimsuit. No recollections of what Brett's dick looked like. No pix, video tape or audio recordings. Just her recollection. The Republicans will nod to her testimony, thank her and then move onto discussing Brett's swearing in date.

Of course it’s not the libs threatening Ford just as it isn’t the cons threatening Kavenaugh. The hard core of both sides are firmly in their camps throwing stones. Some of us in the middle are just going with what they’ve allowed us to know so far. We will learn a lot more when they testify.

No, I’m not saying this has been a 12 year conspiracy. That would really be far fetched. From the reports I saw on various news outlets, including MSNBC and CNN as well as FOX, she recalled the assault but not the person during her therapy sessions. Is that wrong info?

    No it is not

I didn’t say she wasn’t getting death threats. At this point , I don’t believe her story.

She named Kavanaugh in the sessions.

Why is this such a problem? Kavanaugh is going to be confirmed. Life goes on.

So, in your opinion, just because a person is getting death threats doesn't mean people hate her. Thanks for the clarification.

    Well then,
The information I read said Ford did not name anyone. The notes have no name attached to them. It was her husband who said she mentioned Kavenaugh.

Hate is a strong word. I think people are making death threats as a scare tactic. I doubt anyone would actually kill Dr. Ford or Judge Kavanaugh. Then again, someone did try to kill some ball players who happen to be conservative.

It’s not a problem for me MR I’m just not a fan of Dr. Ford’s with the info I have. It smells of dirty politics. But Like you said, life goes on no matter what happens and I do believe the republicans will confirm him and they will loose beaucoup seats in November.

Someone says that perhaps K was such an inebriate at prep and Yale parties that he does not remember what he did.

So you are saying she's lying to Trump's FBI. Interesting. How many years in jail do you think she, her husband and her therapist will serve in jail for lying to the FBI?

Well, I consider myself a typical college student would agree that excessive drinking happened. Let's not forget Brett passed Yale Law. He's not a ****ing moron. While his family riches and connections certainly opened doors for him, like they did for Ford, that doesn't buy him a legal degree. He still had to pass the bar himself. Many lawyers that I know had to take it more than once. It's not a gimme.

Agreed on these points. However, as you pointed out, some people do carry out death threats or attempt to commit murder for political reasons.

That said, I strongly believe such people are nuts to begin with and choose a political position to justify their anger and murderous impulses. In short, they were crazy to begin with and just picked a side.

Overdrinking at parties does not preclude passing high school, uni, or law school.

Mrs b: "I don’t think people hate her. I think they just don’t believe her."

So Max, when you hear a statement worded like the above, you think that it is refuted by finding exceptions? Would not a more reasonable interpretation be that she was making a general statement, and not saying that there isn't a person on Earth who hates her?

Nice cherry-picking. Did you read the entire thread of conversation or just jump in without looking?

To answer your question, yes, on general statements. Why do you defend hers and not mine? For political reason?
