    The difference so far is that we don't know this shooter's motive. If it were a Muslim, we could be 99% certain what the motive was.

    Early reports were that the woman who said that was arguing with two other women. Not confirmed whether that woman was the friend of the shooter. Surely if the aim of this woman was to warn the people she would have warned security first though maybe she only just found out and started barging her way out which led to the argument

    That's exactly what I thought when I started hearing that story as well. She would have alerted someone other than 2 women in a crowd, I think. But nuts with guns never cease to surprise me.

    How do you know Muslim terrorist's motives? They could be just unhappy with their lives, just like these mass shooters who want to go out in a blaze. The Muslim terrorists are just using the excuse of Jihad for their atrocious acts, but the initial trigger is probably more the emptiness inside, or psychopathy. Unfortunately, there are psychopaths in every population and race, the ONLY thing that the vast majority of these terrorists have in common is that they are male, mostly young, but some older like this fellow.

    True. He just blew 168 innocent men, women and children to bits and injured almost 700 more people with a truck bomb.

    This is closer to the Pulse Nightclub shooting where 49 innocent people died.

    It does seem that most of the people bent on mass murder are on the youngish side. McVeigh. Lanza The Pulse and Virginia Tech shooters. The Columbine shooter. The ISIS terrorists. This guy is not from the general mold.

    What in the name of God could make you do something like this?

    That does sound like the typically flawed logic of a Trump supporter. Maybe the perp was a Trump loyalist who was mad about football players kneeling during the national anthem. After all, this tragedy didn't take place until that became a nation issue. See how easy it is to make up reasons that suit your partisan view of the world?

    A family member of Paddock's told NBC News that he (Paddock) was going through a divorce or splitting up with his wife. Didn't say anything about the wife.

    Woke up to this one this AM. Awful story. I heard that there were so many needing transport to the local Hospitals that people on the scene were using their personal vehicles to get them there. Nice to see people come together like that. Thumbs up to those people, they're heroes.

    Yes, we must keep the discussion of shootings non-partisan, like the shooting of Steve Scalise which never became a partisan discussion.

    That was sarcasm, by the way. I agree with you that this is neitherime nr place for partisanship while so many of our fellow Americans are now dead and hundreds are injured. But before getting on the high horse, remember that BOTH sides do it, and do it with enthusiasm.

    Back to caring about these poor people now.
