    I think for most people who masturbate, its a form of release and self love. Plus I don't believe that masturbation causes any transmission of STD's so its a pretty safe method of having a form of sex.

    While you might feel that masturbation is an abomination, most likely there are billions in this world who would not agree with you.

    A good sex therapist might be able to discuss your views with you and give rational reason why people masturbate and why its considered a healthy practice in general.

    I don't know anyone who would choose masturbation over intercourse, and I don't know anyone who thinks "intercourse is just for procreation" who has a satisfied partner, and if your partner enjoys intercourse, you are far more likely to procreate. Ergo, the OP's stance is not only futile, but against its own interest.

    I think it is safe to say that any guy who has the need to discuss this with his doctor and gets the doctor to prescribe regular masturbation, CERTAINLY isn't getting any.
