learning not to learn



an empty bowl fills up best



with nothing at all

 

one bell struck gently



all the truth in these worlds



are you listening?

 

hara o kiru



loyalty not destiny



plunges blade through flesh

 

Those were all very good, tksensei. I especially liked the last line in this one.

 

You are generous to say so.

 

I used to care,
but now I don't.
You want to change,
but you really won't.

In abject despondency,
I'll voice my thoughts,
But only to myself
because you won't be taught.

You can't see forward,
you only look back,
and the further you look,
the more it begins to crack.

Time is running short,
we really don't have time,
and no, I don't think they'll care
that you own the last dime.

Drop the change you have,
it's worthless where we're going,
and there's no turning back,
because this is where the wind is blowing.

And even in this state,
you continue not to care.
People are sleeping all around,
but there's nothing left for you to share.

And, in my abject despondency,
I'll continue to voice my thoughts,
knowing full well
that you won't be taught.

Not even this
could teach you well,
the consequences
in which you now dwell.

 

Kazikli, that is so good! Did you write that? I dig the rhythm and rhyme.

Thank you. I tried to use ballad rhyme scheme, but it's not in the correct rhythm.

Beings of assistance, guides, and masters of the Light
We thank you for your love & energy tonight.
Bless the ones who stand inside this swirling cone of power
Radiating energy among these rocks and flowers.

We stand before you in this cone as joyful channels clear
Prepared to receive any messages that you want us to hear.
Fill us with your wisdom, with your love, and with your Light
Transmute the gross and empower us with God's infinite might.

So that we may help others and show them the way
To be clear channels for God’s expression every minute of each day.
Beings of assistance, guides, and masters of the Light
We thank you for your love & energy tonight.

Where am I?
Oh, I made it home.
I hope I did not drive.
Where did I go last night?
I barely remember, I went to Dave's.
Where is my wallet?
Ah, probably in the car.
Why are my jeans wet?
I hope that is just spilled beer.
Aye, my head feels like the Hindenburg.
I will just get another beer.
Wait, who is that in my bed...it looks like...
DAVE!

 

There once was a man from Nantucket
Whose **** had the girth of a bucket.
He'd swing it 'round town,
But all the girls they would frown,
So he threw up his hands, said, "Ahh...(*)(*)(*)(*) it!"

 

I do

Not know the limits

Of suffering

Joker, I really like that piece about suffering. It was powerful. The piece before that was hilarious!

The words to this poem came in 10 years ago while I was driving, and I had to pull over and write them down so that I wouldn't forget them.

Lightseeds

The brilliance of suns
the light of a star
isn't something outside you
it is who you are.

The light shines through the prism
of the being you are
spreading color and light
from the earth to the stars.

So follow your dreams
Wherever they lead
Let your soul shine through
And spread your lightseeds.

Praises To The Night

Days falling nearing our calling.
Nights rising finding us praising.
Moons bathing us with light.
Giving our spirits gifts of right.

Lights adorn this mantled place.
Flickers chase days shadows away.
Ready us this place we stand,
In middle between the sky and
Sand.

We seek mystery gathered here.
Give us force to command.
Let us be earths elements again.
Free we are and one as all.
To the night let our spirits call.

Reasons given voice to chant.
All must speak as one again.
Leading our rhythms into the
Night. We send our motions

Falling Blue To Blue

Blue
Nice Picture. A bird strolling along the beach. The surf alive and moving with hosts of lively motions, rolling and rising in the background. The sky a perfect shade of light and blue, pasted above in contrast, to you sitting there posed and poised. And I only used forty words to describe that. They say it can take up to a thousand. Good picture nicely done.

Falling
Like a towel unfolded, and tossed out to fall softly to the sand. The sky is thrown out into the day by the sun. Directed outward the blue in subtle shades appears to in an instance get stronger the, faller to us it gets. Then losing its momentum, drops to the water and into the ocean below with the blue sinking into its depths filling it up. Coloring the water with the sky falling into it. Sending it to the shores over the sands and back again. Teasing the beach with waves. Seductive movements pushing and pulling to the shore uncovering the bare and shifted edges that get caressed. Swells roll out and meet the colors still pouring down and sending them back again.

To Blue
Shifting the sights in me. The falling starts and carries through to the white tips dancing livid motions that meet my feelings, exaggerating my sorrow. Dropping lightly into the sea the blue comes in with the tide and funds me with a melancholy tint that brushes me in thought. Witness to this spectacle is your reflection. Those once’ things now deeply in falling ness of the un-right loss; that lost which rightly conducted my reasons through passion. Keeps me in myself locked away with the splendid sights and sounds of silenced revelations and harmful inner interpretations. Moving in the air shimmering everywhere as the afternoon grows older. The saddening louder and more pronounced by the hour.Yet your image fading, making my heart a liar. Whispers from my soul, echoes of you from before. Sounds catching the wind and the surf as the day moves me with them again. Carried along like the white tips made by the waters current, laying on the surface after the swells retire. Like those waves, thoughts of you left behind as pains given to moments lived in search of directions to not what I must feel; but how we can do it together again.
