Far from being upset I just think it's micromanagement in the extreme to have to put a warning label on everything.

No one who is buying a bag of wood chips for their smoker that they might use two or even 6 bags a year is going to remotely possibly get cancer.

 

Why? Maybe a warning label would help keep someone safe. I mean, if there were live electrical lines or pits of raw sewage around, I think they should be marked as such.

 

So it's a minor annoyance?

Something to consider is in CA it's not the homeless, illegals or gang banging criminals who are leaving, it's the people with $$$ who make up the tax base. A lot of people retire out of CA because of the cost of living there, but a lot of people AND companies are moving out because it's just too expensive and miserable to live and do business there.

 

Yet a lot of companies are still based there, including Apple and Meta, and it still boasts one of the highest populations.

 

I say we sell them to Mexico.

I think we as a society should eliminate about half of the warning labels and let Darwin sort it out.

You are contradicting yourself. If no one pays attention to those labels, how would removing them be letting "Darwin sort it out"? Make up your mind. Do you want to remove the labels because no one cares about them or do you want to remove them for the sake of social Darwinism? You can't have it both ways.
