If so, why would two of the biggest anti-Second Amendment people in Washington, D.C. purposely lie to the media and risk their and their organization’s credibility lying about Obama telling them he’s working on more gun control measures, “under the radar”? Could “working under the radar” involve shenanigans being committed by government departments and bureaucracies? What I and many other Americans want to know is this: What were the reasons and goals of the U.S. Department of Justice (USDJ) - along with its Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) – by knowingly allowing over two-thousand legally purchased firearms cross our southern border illegally to the arm the Mexican drug cartels in a USDJ and BATFE sanctioned operation that killed many innocent people called “Fast & Furious”? Who at the USDJ and the BATFE authorized Operation Fast & Furious? Was the executive branch involved or advised of the operation? Shouldn’t Americans demand accountability and justice for those in government indirectly responsible for the shootings and killings of Americans and the many Mexican nationals as a result of Operation Fast & Furious? It’s been said by many that Operation Fast & Furious could very well be one of the “under the radar” actions Obama was referring to when he spoke to Jim and Sarah Brady. By blaming the violent and heinous gun deaths along the Mexican border on legitimate gun dealers in the Southwest, the administration wanted to create more “time to act now” legislation for more infringing gun control laws. It’s also been said many times that Operation Fast & Furious could be Obama’s Water Gate. All Nixon did was spy on the Democrats and then lied about it to the American people; no one died. But if the USDJ and the BATFE were engaging in Operation Fast & Furious with the acknowledgement and approval from the Oval Office, it will make Nixon’s wrongdoing look like an anthill next to Mount McKinley in comparison. I used bold lettering for the sentence in that linked quote because a previous poster stated the "under the radar" Obama quote was hearsay. It was most definitely not hearsay. No conspiracy loon here, but there maybe some in the USDJ and BATFE (who are already on congressional record stating that Operation Fast & Furious did take place). But hey, I'm sure a few naive and lemming loons said the same things when Nixon's Water Gate was exposed, too...
