Good news everyone!

It turns out that the meds Trump was touting a while back as a treatment option for COVID-19 appear to work.

 

I hope this is legit .

But can we get enough of these drugs

Since we are no longer self sufficient thanks to people not believing Perot?

 

Hopefully more people will take advantage of it immediately after diagnosis.

 

Sounds like the Trump pill is saving lives!

 

I don't even want to call it the "Trump" pill. I want to call it what it is: Medicine, and I want to call out Democrats for what they did: Interfering in patient-doctor confidentiality and treatments, when they claimed to be the party of such.

Democrats have continued to betray promises and even more than the neo conservatives of old, are terrible liars and opportunists.

This is why I left the party eight years ago. The party lies to us, it continues to lie to us. Like Gruber said: Americans are stupid.. What Democrats said a month ago, they'll retract today. Only to find another avenue of deception tomorrow.

 

Please do not inject facts into a political agenda. This will be attacked as illegitimate by the left and dismissed. In an emergency, any emergency, Trump is supposed to do nothing until the deep state has approved an agenda.

Was this a randomised double blinded study?

 

Not if this “study” is any guide

 

BAHAHAHA and along comes the typical LW "concerned social scientist."

They'll tell you all about horseshit like "must wear demoralizing and fear-inducing masks"... with no "double blind studies" whatsoever, let alone any credible data AT ALL, or whatever daily hoodoo of fear porn and fallacies they dream up next.

Then they'll tell you all about how tens of THOUSANDS of practicing doctors are ruining the fear and demoralization party with DOCUMENTED MASS CURES using dirt cheap, safe drugs... but there's no randomised double... so we have to discount all that... you know the rest of the pile.

Ivermectin has at least as much validation for use as HCQ so why is it not being touted as the “miracle cure”?

It's in the numbers and available data. One can easily find exact patient matches at onset to compare outcomes.

So why aren't we using BOTH of them, AND wearing masks while staying home TOO?

This is what gets to me, all this ****** political wrangling about how we should go about saving our ****ing lives. If it's a matter of survival I'm going to do everything that even might help and praying too, even though I DON"T believe in God

 

I have nothing against it. By all it means if it works(and that fast) and to quote the doctors: "Safe in humans". Use it. As in, NOW, not waiting for some fancy test. We can clinically try them on a case-by-case basis. And no, it's not immoral. Immoral is the possibility of help, withdrawing that help and them DYING. That's immoral.

We don't have time for red tape right now.

 

Necessary at all times

Did you “get” the bit about 4% of patients either ended in ICU or died?

 

Give it a whirl. Patients shouldn't be hard to find. Democrat voter registration lists would be a good start. They'll forego a known curative and risk death for the cause.

 

False sense of safety

If we started handing out ivermectin like water and people started ignoring social isolation we may have a huge rebound in the number of cases

WHO (you know the global agency Trump was threatening to defund) is co-ordinating real time research on at least four of the most promising treatments

 

Here's the thing: They were going to unfortunately die anyway. We can't save ALL lives. We want to. We REALLY want to. But we can't. There is however a time constraint where we can save a lot of lives. And as Alexsander said, this hand-wringing isn't helping.

When we're in a non-Pandemic state, the medical community can run a gazillion tests all it wants, but right now people need to at least have their symptoms managed until better treatments can become available.

 

And if it turns out that HCQ is not effective (remember 4% of the patients in the study mentioned in the OP either died or were in ICU) but Ivermectin IS effective minus HCQ more nasty effects like blindness then who will be better off?

 

4% seems about the same as the number who die anyway.

Why so quick

Wouldn't it be helpful to wait until you at least have symptoms? I realize you want to get started before any damage is done but don't a lot of people recover anyway and these drugs do have SOME side effects.
