Project Gunrunner

Well, they found out what happens next. Guns disappear until they resurface in a crime scene, many times with people being killed, including U.S. federal agents. What were they thinking? I know, but labeling it a "conspiracy" is taboo.

 

Here's another interesting quote in the White House press release --

President Obama - "In addition, as President Calderón and I discussed, I am urging the Senate in the United States to ratify an inter-American treaty known as CIFTA to curb small arms trafficking that is a source of so many of the weapons used in this drug war."

Remember CIFTA? The Inter-American Convention Against Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms treaty that President Clinton sent to the Senate in 1997, and was never heard of again?

Here is an article from gunlaws.com that does a good analysis on CIFTA and what it would mean to the average American firearms owner.

In their words - "If you can't push gun control through Congress, just do an end run and take them out of the picture."

That very well may be what Project Gunrunner was designed to do...
