Muslims claim they built the Dome of the Rock. But it has an octagonal foundation which is a Byzantine Christian design. Some historians believe it was originally built by Byzantium Christians after they retook Jerusalem from the pagan Persians and jews. Some say they built it to forever keep the jews from rebuilding their temple... and when the Muslims took Jerusalem they turned it into a Muslim shrine.

Byzantium Christians did build the Church of St Mary on the Temple Mount which had been partially destroyed by the jews and pagan Persians. When Muslims took Jerusalem, they turned that church into the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

I am most unamused with the petty backwards and forwards about stolen land and who cares more or less about children dying. The Palestinians are pawns...they are cannon fodder for Iran and Turkey. It couldn't have less to do with land and who owns it, or who deserves the rocket up the cracker more...there is a much bigger game at play and I fear the outcome is going to be disastrous for the entire Middle East.
