First the Reuters makes it look like Israel started this situation. That is not true. It was started by Palestine Protesters clashing with the police that left 300 injured. It was then escalated when Hamas shot 7 rockets into Jerusalem, and announced that they were going to attack Tel Aviv. In return, Israel staged air attacks against Hamas positions in Gaza. That 13 story building was being used as a Hamas headquarters. Among the dead was 7 Hamas leaders. If Hamas was not hiding behind families, women and children, then they would be alive today. Their deaths are on Hamas, not Israel;

I doubt you started at the beginning.... WHY were the Palestinians protesting ??

If you want to start at the very beginning, who are the Palestinians? They did not exist until Israel declared independence. The region was known as Palestine, but it never was self ruled. The people that lived in the area were known as Syrians.

Arabs have manufactured the name Palestinians to give them a cause to fight Israel about.

This latest confrontation began ahead of a case that was going to heard by the Israeli Supreme Court on Monday. The case dealt with the ownership of land that four families had lived on for decades. The land was originally owned by Jews until 1948. The Israelis had chosen the land to build a new settlement. It was believed that the Supreme Court, which does have the legal authority in Israel just as the US Supreme court does here, was about to evict these four families. (Conflicting articles exist claiming that the number of families are four, six and 12 families. Yet most articles written during the time between the protests and the Hamas attacks all say that it is four families.) The major escalation of the tensions began when the Israeli government changed the route of a protest march to steer it away from tension hot spots. The Israel Arabs decided to attack Israeli police and then barricade themselves at the Al Aqsa Mosque.

So, this conflict happened when Palestinians disagreed with the laws in the country that they live, staged protests and it escalated from there to another Israel-Palestinian civil war. This is on the Palestinians. The Israeli Arabs do not even live in an area controlled by Hamas. They were looking to start a war because of the political vacuums in both the Israel and Palestinian Governments. This is the terrorist elements of Hamas asserting control over the weakened Hamas Leadership, and with an unclear picture in the Israeli Prime Minister picture.

Jordan kicked out the Palestinians because they were supposed to fight to restore the holy Palestinian lands back to Islam. It was their fate in life. No Muslim nation would take them in for that reason, so they went to Lebanon a Christian nation and destroyed it.

I feel bad for the Palestinians, they certainly deserve better, but if they were to get their right to return, then what about all the other refugees? Shouldn't they have the same right? Also how far back should people go for the right to return?

The West, Russia, China, India--none of them are willing to put up with aggressive Islam. The latter is the only one where religion has much importance.

Christians have historically been no better about how they treat non-believers. They dominated the hell out of the Americas after dominating the hell out of Europe and trying to dominate Jerusalem in the Crusades, for instance.

Islam is not more of a problem by itself than Christianity, though. Muslims outside of Muslim-majority countries don't try to dominate anyone any more than any other religious minority. Methinks you like to attack Islam because, as a Christian, it offends and frightens you. On top of that, we've seen quite a lot of propaganda online about how bad Islam is. The Obama years in particular were full of it, but it's been an issue ever since 9/11, really.
