You can't partition a country if people have an unchecked "right of return."

 

I might be wrong in this, but I think the biggest mistake the Israelis made, was that they didn't pay the Palestinians for the homes and properties they lost when they ran out of Palestine. Their rationale was that the Jews weren't compensated for the homes and properties confiscated by the other Arab nations.

Had the Palestinians been given monetary compensation for what they lost at that time, would they have had any claim to Palestine today? I don't think so!

I don't think Hitler intended to kill all the Jews either, just the ones in Germany / territory he occupied. Likewise, I don't think the Arabs wanted to kill all the Jews, just the ones in the Middle East. What's the appreciable difference in their positions?

They probably would, if they could but the money doesnt go to Hamas. It is spent through UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (Unrwa), but even they have not received anything yet.

I had to turn off FOX news today... very little real reporting and mostly propaganda.

After 75 years of war in and around Israel , I'm weary of BOTH sides. The one thing both sides do is try and go back to who threw the first stone and blame them for all that has followed. This attitude precludes ANY resolution.

I am all for supporting both sides with weapons and ammo until they are tired of shooting at each other.

 

Yes - the balance of power is far too unequal - we need to balance the field by giving the Hamas/Hezbollah better military technology.

 

Exactly - who did what first in a blood feud is irrelevant as both sides have done bad things - and have been for decades.

Supporting one side over the other only serves to prolong the blood feud. Give the Palestinians better technology will balance the field - making the IDF think twice before committing more atrocity.

 

Those explosions you're seeing are the intercept missiles detonating. You may notice that not one of the rockets (which I presume are the other bright lights) were stopped by an explosion of a intercept missile

 

Iran arms Hamas.

Iran is allied with Russia.

Russia is allied with and arms Syria.

Yet... Putin is very friendly with the jew state which repeatedly bombs Iranian facilities in Syria with impunity.

Oh... and btw... decades ago the jew state helped create Hamas to counter Russia's ally the PLO.
