ron paul defended the newsletter's content in 1996, do you think he did that without reading them, who do you think wrote this?: "In 1988 when I ran for president on the Libertarian Party ticket, I was berated for hours by LP members because I had refused to vote, while in Congress, for a Martin Luther King national holiday." i think ron paul should be pestered about this until he either tells the truth or drops out
He has told the truth. What I think you meant to say is, "I think Ron Paul should be pestered about this until he either says what I want to hear or drops out."
Do you know 'why' he said that? He said that because he doesn't feel it was appropriate to have a national holiday for a 'person' on his birthday... http://www.govtrack.us/congress/vote.xpd?vote=h1979-578 TO SUSPEND THE RULES AND PASS H.R. 5461, DESIGNATING THE BIRTHDAY OF MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. A LEGAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY. (MOTION PASSED:2/3 REQUIRED) He 'did' vote for it after an amendment to change the date. http://www.govtrack.us/congress/vote.xpd?vote=h1979-624 TO AMEND H.R. 5461, MARTIN LUTHER KING HOLIDAY, BY DESIGNATING THE THIRD MONDAY IN JANUARY RATHER THAN JANUARY 15 AS THE LEGAL HOLIDAY. ------------------- Don't just take stuff you read on the internet smear sites as fact..do some research yourself and actually 'look' at the bills.
there has been ample evidence provided already but, i know because i subscribed to the newsletters at a ron paul speaking engagement, over 30 years ago
From whom? Really?? so you have these incriminating newsletters with researchable quotes from Ron Paul himself?? Cool! Lets see 'em
Im also curious about something else..you Dujac, who hates Ron Paul down to the core....what on earth would you be doing at a Ron Paul speaking engagement? Very interesting..do tell
i've posted plenty of excerpts from ron paul's newsletters did you read what i wrote? the newsletters are available, but of course you'll absolve ron paul of any wrong doing and deny his involvement http://graphics.thomsonreuters.com/11/12/Solicitation2.pdf in response to the op, nelson linder and the naacp don't support ron paul's candidacy “UPDATE: Nelson Linder contacted our office and wanted prisonplanet.com to stress the fact that he made his comments as a private citizen, not as president of the Austin NAACP. He said the libertarian platform deserves the same scrutiny as the Democratic and Republican parties receive in this nation. He went on to say that some on the web have construed that he is endorsing Ron Paul. And that is not the case. Mr. Linder went on to say that the interview was designed to discuss local issues concerning civil rights and civil liberties and his knowledge of the Libertarian party and Ron Paul.” http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/january2008/011308_not_racist.htm
I don't see anything racist in that pdf you posted. that's not even dated btw....however I found some 'very' interesting snippets
i posted it hours ago, Today, 12:42 PM - post #84, wake up http://graphics.thomsonreuters.com/11/12/Solicitation2.pdf
Thats been debunked already. And he asked you to post the original copies, since you subscribed to his news letters and all.
it hasn't been debunked i'm fairly certain that you're the only person that has posted a comment in this thread, using the term 'original copies'
I have posted many threads, all with debunking evidence. Go look at them. Wow, trying to be literal to deflect from answering a question, wont work here. Answer the question...
instead of putting your hand over your face, face up to the facts, ron paul owned 'ron paul & associates', the company that published the newsletters, he profited from them, he was the editor, he wrote some of the articles and promotional letters, which bore his signature
Ok, then you'll just have to point me directly to the racist comments in that 'newsletter'...I apparently am blind.... And by you stating you have subscribed to the newsletters some 30 yrs ago, and that you have posted excerpts from them several times..one assumes you have the 'original' newsletters you were sent... Also, I want the proof that shows Ron Paul read them and gave his opinion on them in his own words....and the reason I want to see this, is because the way that so called newsletter is written, does not sound like Ron Paul and the way he speaks....
Wait....what?...a link......*blinks* Where'd you get the link Dujac? Don't you have copies of the newsletters you subscribed to?
as i said, you'll never acknowledge ron paul's racism, but here's an excerpt "Order was only restored in L.A. when it came time for the blacks to pick up their welfare checks… What if the checks had never arrived? No doubt the blacks would have fully privatized the welfare state through continued looting. But they were paid off and the violence subsided.” http://www.tnr.com/sites/default/files/PR_June92_p1.pdf oh please, i threw that 'outreach to rednecks' crap out years ago, it was worthless
Its funny, that even though 22 years after the fact, people still dont believe he's a racist. The media is the only ones promoting this garbage. Most people aren't buying it. Nice try though.
i'm not the media and i'm revealing what ron paul's true colors are show me your info source for this conclusion
OMFG. I posted a whole thread devoted to this. Please use the search feature, or browse for it. Edit: I didnt post it, someone else did. http://www.politicalforum.com/elections-campaigns/223611-ron-paul-gains-romney-newt-national-polls-despite-smears.html
