I wooda fired his arse right then and there.He has No worth at all on FOX. I have no idea why Fox keeps him on. I do recall Olberman giving Smith kudo's a few times as if ... Urgh.... I can't stand him! I can't stand anything about him, he messes up his words more than any reporter I have ever seen. His voice, his face, his lame remarks, his unfunny sense of humor...so annoying! He was on for hours today with hurricane coverage, made me so angry!

I don't like Shep either, but he's been assigned the role of designated rational person among the other foaming fools and clueless bimbos on Fox. He's their tenuous tether to the real world.
He plays the same role on Fox Cable as Chris Wallace plays on Fox Broadcast; namely, they put a veneer of journalistic respectability on an otherwise laughable "news" network.

Colmes, I don't particularly care for nor Greta - can't STAND Geraldo, to wordy, he babbles on and on when he could cover his opinion in a lot less words and he's a name-caller, which I think is tacky when you're reporting a story on tv. And he gets very dramatic and excitable about whatever.... I think Bob Beckel is a decent sort, altho I don't agree w/his political views.... Used to like O'Reilly, but he's changed - doesn't have the character he used to have.... but do like Hannity, John Stossel and Trace Gallagher.... My favorite female is Megyn Kelly.... she's very good at her job.... And I like Shep.......

Just so I can see what kind of propaganda my mother-in-law is watching. And yes, allowing oneself to be the face of journalistic respectability among the cavalcade of charlatan clowns on Fox is a form of prostitution. As for MSNBC, I don't watch it at all. Pretty much the only TeeVee news I watch is the PBS Newshour and Fareed Zakaria's GPS on Sundays (and a bit of Fox to keep up with RNC talking points).
They put Smith on Fox to live up to its reputation of being the most newsworthy and fair and balanced news outlet on the telly. Lets not forget that they just hired another lib in Juan Williams. The former Hannity and Commie show is further proof of how fair and balanced the most trustworthy news show on earth is, i.e. FOX. Show me where MSNBC or CNN (Clinton New Network) ever hired a known Conservative to anchor any of their shows. You just won't find it, and thus more reason why FOX NEWS receives more viewers nightly then all the other broadcasts combined. Another thing, usually news reports done by ugly blondes and brunettes form other networks gives us an array of stupidity and incompetence the likes we've never seen before, i.e Contessa Brewer for one. Look at the beautiful blondes on Fox and you soon realize that they're all just as intelligent and competent as they are beautiful. My favorite being Meagan Kelly--though she is married. As far as Smith goes; I don't find his liberalism to be all that annoying, but I still refuse to watch him during those hours.
I almost spit coffee on my keyboard. The network of Hannity, Greta, O'Reilly and Beck (now departed, RIP ) a "fair and balanced news outlet?" There's not a whit of news on any of these shows, just some juvenile advocacy journalism.
