And Beckel, Juan Williams and Colmes are the equivalent of the Washington Generals at a Globetrotters game - dedicated patsies. Back to my lovely Mother-in-Law: She openly states that she only watches Fox because she refuses to watch anything that she doesn't fully agree with. Fox News (and MSNBC) are perfect examples of confirmation bias. To prove how throughly hoodwinked you've been about Fox,consider this. If what Fox does ISN'T news than why are they First whenever a natural disaster occurs or ANY Late-breaking story develops. Why are they FIRST in the event of a Storm { Hurricane coverage,Tornado's } and w/o any peer when it comes to covering a WAR like when Iraqi Freedom was staged.No one had better coverage on the entire planet.With Great enbeds like Colobel Ollie North and Greg Kelly. Then Geraldo from Afghanistan. Fox also handles Elections coverage as good or better than the Networks. I just proved how WRONG you are that Fox doesn't do news.

I like Shep too, I do not always agree with him, but am I supposed to? The idea is on Fox there is a mix of people and views, now simply because some lean more right than others many from the left hate them. Now look at MSNBC, do you see any mixing of political ideas there?,,,Nope,,never,, they are out right Lib all the way, wont even consider airing anything else. If they do let somebody from the right on he is usually weak and they can pick him apart. MSNBC does not leave any room for challenge,,never....they are just not secure enough.. Then again, how secure can any station be with Ed Shultz on it...LOL If I was one of their steady viewers I would demand they took this phony off... Yeah, I think it's Bill Hemmer - kept thinking name was Scott, but anyway he's very nice looking - black hair, dark features and has a very pleasant, nice demeanor..... and he's teamed up w/a blonde..... And yes, I do think Shepherd is a nice looking guy.... also sometimes he's shown a dry sense of humor while reporting that makes me laugh. I just don't see anything wrong w/his looks or reporting style.....
Perhaps you ought to upgrade and tune in your telly to 21st century technology by throwing away that puny 13" rabbit-ear'd dinasour you call a TV so as to get the highest rated and most informative NEWS cast with FOX.
They watch it because it WILL show different views, and it is not PC so you get full stories, and some stories the others wont run at all. If you want ALL the news you watch Fox as many of them do , but if you are Liberal you talk about MSNBC at cocktail parties...LOL Have you ever heard any Liberal here say....''Oh did you here what Ed Shultz said''...LOL
Yup, you got it right, Flounder.... as I said b/f, I think Bob Beckel comes across as a decent sort of fella and he's as liberal as they come, so FNC has a good assortment of staff that's well blended ..... or maybe I should say 'balanced'. Another guy I like is Juan Williams - another lib, but I don't find him offensive........
Every single minute of Hannity, Greta (when she's not focused on a murdered blonde somewhere), and O'Reilly is advocacy/opinion with just enough "news" to provide context to their advocacy. Beck was worse yet, of course. He used his own fantasies for context. Shep is who brings the "news" to the Fox News brand. He's their designated token "serious journalist." I suspect that's why a number of hard right folks don't like him. He doesn't throw the requisite amount of "red meat" to them.
I disagree with Beckel almost all the time, however he makes his point well and does show a good argument for the Liberal side, it's important he is there. Same thing with Juan,,,good guy and I listen to him. Combs is hard to take, but he fights hard and gives Bill a fit,,,LOL. They also have that blonde [forgot her name], very good, very knowledgeable Liberal and puts up a good fight, and they have a brunette Lib also who is very good. They have many talented and well versed Liberals, and they add a lot, they really do. Bob Beckel, Alan Colmes Juan Williams, Greta Van Sustren, Kirsten Powers, Mora Liasson, Bernie Sanders, Patrick Cadell, Shep Smith Kirston Powers,,,smart Lib... Mora Liasson There are a few others I cant recall, you will never see this kind of mix at MSNBC.... and they speak out strongly never held back that I see.
