What you fail to compute as most any lefty,is Fact vs. Fiction.
Guys like Hannity and O'Reilly try and live in Reality. Not some
Politically Correct created environ that benefits the loony agenda
of Democrats.Smith isn't really pro one Political faction over another.
Nor is Greta. That means that are disingenuous and cannot be trusted.
I don't trust someone who is unwilling to openly state who they voted
for as President { Like Greta }.
I can't get over Smith and his accusing Bush of being directlt
responsible for the plight of Katrina Victims.Smith never spent time
blaming the true culprit or Black Mayor Ray Nagin.

"I could have sworn it was a spoof on Steve Doocy and his bimbo brigade." Finnbow

Those chicks are pretty hot and I wouldn't dare disagree with them, or perhaps I would if the price was right.

I think he's really quite mad. Simply another voice to spread the hate of Rupert Murdoch toward anyone with forward looking (Liberal) ideals.

Speaking of Greg Jarrett.Did you know he used to be a Huge Liberal.
He worked at MSNBC alongside Ashley Banfield and Lis Wiehl
during the height of the 2000 Florida recount Fiasco. The reason I know
is the way Jarrett talked about Republicans and Bush.He was 100% in
support of Al Gore in the Recount.
Jarrett has been at Fox for years now.A morning/afternoon guy.

Because he's Irish?,,,LOL,,,Naaa I am not hot on Rush either, is he Irish? I do not care for anybody so one sided,,I'm just not. That's what so sickening about MSNBC,,,sooo phony....To them a difference of opinion is somebody that agrees only 99% of the time with them...

I'm not sure anyone knows what Limbaugh is.Maybe some kind of
Neopolitan Noodle.Yes,Limbaugh gets roiled whenever a Moderate
calls his show. There's merit however in being one-sided.
Nuns & Priests are one-sided.Religion is pretty one-sided.
Pizza is pretty one-sided ... Get it.

Nope, didn't know that about Jarrett..... Lis Wiehl was on MSNBC also? MSNBC lost some good people. No wonder their ratings keep sinking. To bad MSNBC doesn't offer Rivera an offer he can't refuse.... he'd fit in really good........

Oh gawd .... I just remembered something. Not long ago someone had a guest on to offer her opinion about something - Marcia Clark! The incompetent prosecuting attorney from the OJ trial. I tho't 'Oh man, I hope she's not hired on!' but haven't seen her since, so maybe it was just a bad day for FNC...... they took on Mark Furhman as a legal analyst or something like that and tho't that was a good move - but NOT HER! She's a brainless twist.......

My disdain toward Fox isn't really (or totally) about their ideology, but that they're the most flagrant and successful example of the conflation of infotainment and news. I hold similar regard for MSNBC and Talk Radio.

They're all about repetitive, sensationalized, ideological half-truths broadcast for people with the equivalent of an 8th grade education. They're all beneath contempt IMHO and are, at least partially, responsible for the mind-numbing and angry polarization of our country. We'd be way better off without them.

Can you imagine the level of discourse in this country if everyone who wanted to be informed about politics took the time to read the WashPost, the Wall Street Journal and The Economist cover-to-cover before even thinking of tuning in to Fox/MSNBC/Talk Radio?

We get the picture that you just don't like fox news. But it seems like you must watch it a lot in order to know what they are doing.

I watch it mostly to see how and where people I know get such crazed, angry ill-founded opinions. Ten minutes of Limbaugh/Fox/Hannity (all that's necessary as they repeat each other's points like broken records) is enough to forecast exactly what my mother-in-law will be ranting and raving about the next time I see her. Sometimes, I can actually calm her nerves with facts/perspective, something the infotainment sources don't offer.

    That is a correct statement and premise.Because I'm a mini-expert
on MSNBC.Why you ask.Because to know ones enemy is a very
valuable tool.MSNBC is in bed with the Obama White House.
They used to get daily briefs from Rahm Emanuel via E-mails
as to talking pts.- Morning Joe - was another vehicle to transmit
the Liberal agenda.Liberals and those in the Lamestream merely
needed to watch - Morning Joe - to find out the appilcable agenda and
    talking pts.
I trust no one at face value at MSNBC besides Pat Buchanan.
Everyone else there is a shill for the Obama charade.

That is exactly right, that Scarbourough is a RINO at best and feeds into the obama mystique that seems to engulf the entire liberal media team of socialists. I even catch Buchanan giving in to leftist drivel ever so often, since this is what seems to happen when you put a Conservative on an all leftist TV station. But there is no question that FOX TV and Conservative radio are the best outlets for news and for the right political take on things.

Exactly. There is no need for spin and shilling at Fox.Facts and truth
speak a language all their own.If one has a problem with truth that
doesn't feelgood, than bide yer time at MSNBC.
W/O a Fox,this country would literally be in the crapper.

Just ask Karl Rove, Mike Huckaby, Sarah Palin, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, John Bolton ......
    http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/03/03/fox-news-contributor-conundrum/

Can you really be as obtuse as the person you portray on this board? If so, I suppose you also think that Goebbels was all about facts and truth. :omg:

I'll gladly except one lie per person named. Now try real hard.Because that
is exactly what lefties do.They spend entire days looking for some
itsy bitsy half-truth a Republican said or implied.Forget that Obama has yet
to utter ONE major God's honest truth about any policy or Economic
    plea he's made,either as a candidate,let alone as President.
    Really quite remarkable.
The abject failure of a President who hasn't told the God's honest about
a single thing in his Presidency.

I have to agree. Shepard has some professional style about him and no one is perfect. I certainly didn't think he was a lib, more like a libertarian, imo.

Neil's voice just irks me. He almost sounds whiney. I watch most of them mainly to see if they are talking the motto, "fair and balanced".

Well, I don't know! I saw Clark on FNC only once, but m/b they snuck her on a time or 2 more when I was away from the tv, which is quite often......

Mark Fuhrman is a Fox fixture - appearing to give advice/suggestions when it comes to a crime and he's good at that. I was happy for him that he got the break he did after Clark let OJ's team turn that trial into a trial about a 'rogue cop in LA'.....

I agree its hard to see where the line is between tabloid news and serious journalism today.Thank you. You have brought up an interesting discussion : Do you take the major news networks serious all the time? Is it hyped?
Thanks for the thread Hummingbird! Now go start it.
