stress kills, people who stress out over others actions should lose health care, let them eventually have the heart attack on their own dime

sports is another big health care costs, ban health care for them too....

You can't make your own whiskey legally without federal permits, not even for your own use. You can make beer and wine legally.

Point is you can legally make your own whiskey if you comply with the regulations. There is a thing called hobby distilling. That's as far as I am going. I am not interested in it enough to pursue it any farther.

Ok. A larger discussion is that it is not about marijuana and drug legalization, but about the abomination of hypocrisy being worse than a crack addiction and no drugs are required.

Prohibition has the effect it does due to the moral turpitude of bearing false witness to other laws that could ameliorate the social dilemma of drug use. Criminal activity increases during prohibition since black markets are created whenever there is a perceived want.

We have no longer any Prohibition clause; but we will always have a Commerce Clause.

Legally, you either need to have a full blown commercial license, or a fuel alcohol license. IMHO, if you have a fuel alcohol license you'd be on shaky legal ground to consume it.

Yes, I do support criminalizing recreational marijuana usage. I do not believe it should be penalized with jail or prison time though. I think a fine or some community service time would be sufficient. Perhaps those who abuse marijuana could serve their community service sentence by volunteering at a drug rehab facility.

Why do you support increasing our tax burden by sacrificing the End of our War on Poverty to the Means of our War on Drugs; contrary to the dictates of plain reason and legal axioms? Have you no Faith in the faithful execution of our own laws.

If you support keeping it illegal, you really are supporting taking away the most basic freedom. If I do not own this body, this consciousness, then you do, or the state acting on your behalf. You are therefore the most dangerous mind that freedom has ever known.

I don't want to own you, but you want to own me. You really don't like freedom, nor the sovereignty that one should have over ones body.

Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

And what gives you the right to criminalize marijuana use?

Suppose I don't want to pay your fine or submit to your so-called "community service"? Will you use force or the threat of force to compel obedience?

Then is it safe to say that you support the criminalization of any substance that provides pleasure that is not strictly needed to sustain life ? And that the government should determine which category things are in? How about ice cream?

I don't square dance so therefore it should be illegal.

How are we a minority? That would mean that the majority of people are stoners, since they are the only ones who agree with legalizing weed.

There was a recent poll where 79% of the people who supported legalizing marijuana said they don't use it.

So you really think that people only support those things that directly benefit them? Yes people tend to vote their self interest, but you take it to an extreme. I'm not a woman and my wife is beyond child bearing age but we support reproductive rights and choice. We are not gay but we support marriage equality.

You also seem to assume that all people who use pot are stoned out of their minds on a daily basis rather than use occasionally. Have you really led such a sheltered life?

Well, I obviously haven't led a life of drug addiction, as I'm sure you have.

That's hardly an answer to the issues that I raised, but why am I surprised? You seem to be intent on making odd ball statements and assumptions. Speaking of assumptions. you shouldn't make them about people who you know nothing about. You will only wind up looking foolish. Case in point.

Like I said, everything that you say is equine excrement. You are a troll. You have no serious interest in the topic. Either there is something seriously wrong with your brain function and don't know what your doing , or you do know what you're doing and take some perverse pleasure in it. Either way there is something bizarre about you. You will now be ignored.

As long as it does not harm anyone else . That's the problem as whenever someone does something it does and will effect another person . Indirectly or directly will have to be measurable and we see what and how booze can accidentally indirectly and directly effect all of us . Do we need another loose canon ?
