I am betting that they will not be used by a auto drivers license public.

Hyundai displayed their flying car at a Las Vegas show last year 2020.

We are talking about two different things. Flying cars have been around for decades in small numbers. If you think that somehow the general public is going to be flying around in cars, it is not likely to happen. If and when it does happen, they will just be passengers.

They're all far closer to airplanes that have been reverse modified for use on the road than they are 'flying cars'

What we're far more likely to get are ultra-heavy lift drones that can transport humans.

when there is a way to change batteries in the same amount of time and ease that is similar to filling a car with gasoline

then and only then will the EV become an acceptable alternative to the gas powered cars/trucks

currently , there are about 25,000 charging stations nationwide,,,most charge about 5 -6 cars

there are over 100,000 gasoline stations with about 10-20 pumps..

and over the years the gas stations have been strategically placed where they will be most convenient and profitable ..

the current charging stations have not been placed properly or conveniently..and they are not connected with convenient stores

99% of gas stations are also convenient stores where most of the profit is made ..gasoline is only bait

most gas stations want to sell a cup of coffee and a doughnut for $5 dollars...the profit on that 5 dollars is HUGE

the gasoline profit?? , not so much...

yes there will be a time electric is king..but it will be long after I am dead and gone ..

my grandson will say one day ...."I remember my grandfather drove one of those old gas powered cars"

just like I used to hear my grandfather talk about model T cars that started by hand crank

times are changing,,,electric will become the norm

the better question is...how soon is soon??

Cannot have all EVs until the electric grid is massively restructured and electricity generated is massively increased. Fast charging every vehicle takes magnitudes more electricity and distribution. I suspect CA is in for a heap of hurt..... not counting the heap of a different hurt they are in now.

Jetson's was a cartoon show. There is no problem that cannot be solved in a cartoon. Reality tends to be a lot more difficult.

Soon as they'll run on Eveready D cells. And when did the poor matter in this!?! Remember "clunkers for cash"? Just who do you suppose have to rely on affordable "clunkers"? Maybe they can be given coupons for used bicycles.

California will require some major revamping to their power grid if they want all new vehicles to be EVs. That could end up adding about another 10% load to an already inadequate power grid. I wonder if they will want the feds to bail them out as they find out that all of that is going to cost a whole lot of money.
