Top threads need to be mentioned in both places; no only on Facebook which many people do not like and do not use!

 

I'm giving up Facebook. I have come to believe it is not safe and information has the potential to be shared with the gov't. or business. Not what i wish to have happen.

I would prefer to see the information here rather than there. because i'm not gonna see it there anyway.

I am not even clear on what it is you wish to accomplish.

I'm going to be very honest and unlike the mods, very open. I am not on anyone's "side" here, but there clearly are "sides."

I do not understand what is going on with the stats. It seems to me like some kind of game is being played. I don't know why, but it's unadulterated bull(*)(*)(*)(*).

The antidote to fear and confusion is knowledge. It seems to me that some people know what's going on and for some reason really don't want some other people to know.

It's time for some people to get honest, stop playing childish games and let us know whether and what stats are going to be available.


I understand why the database needs to be pared back and I understand that those stats take up a lot of horsepower. But why would anyone post them on (*)(*)(*)(*)ing Facebook? People are bailing on Facebook, it is not safe, and its stupid.

Why would I bother to go over to yet another site to find the most recent thread or the most popular or most active? why would I want to do that? I don't have enough sites to mess with?

 

I hated it in the beginning because I was a Myspace girl. Now I have done a complete 180. I check my FB about ten times a day and Myspace only once.

 

Please bring back the stats to PF.

when sites network with facebook it increases their exposure on the internet so some parts of the site like the popular stats will have link backs on facebook

 

Yep, lets get that section that used to be at the bottom of the front page back up and running

I am sure the staff will be giving us updates as soon as they can. They seem to be very responsive to the community

I'm with the majority here and don't like facebook. I don't trust it and I don't use it.

I can't understand why it's being posted there and not here.

My daughter tried to get me to use facebook once and when I did I noticed that FBook would send me messages that someone wanted to be my friend. When I opened it up I never heard of that person or the dozen or so people who were on my account at that time, so I quickly canned by account there.

What is this book of faces of which you speak?

Personally I feel that "The Plus of the Google" offers things I can use. I think it is much more useful to those of us who work with this stuff all day long.

 

I'm just hoping the 'upgrade' we were promised doesn't mean opening a Political Forums Facebook Account. Last I heard, the upgrade here was supposed to be completed between Feb 12-14.
